Best Hotel Bar 2021 in Switzerland at The Chedi Andermatt
The Chedi Andermatt was awarded the Swiss Bar Award 2021 for the best hotel bar. The Bar and Living Room is the place to be among Swiss hotel bars.
Team impresses top-class jury of experts
Bar manager Marie Gerber and her team impressed the high-caliber expert jury - consisting of personalities from the Swiss bar scene - with their talent, service and drinks at the absolute top level. "We are simply overwhelmed! The Swiss Bar Award is clearly thanks to my strong team, which gives 200 percent every day. We are delighted that our passion, commitment and attention to detail have paid off," says Marie Gerber, Bar Manager at The Chedi Andermatt.
The art of cocktail creation
Marie Gerber has a perfect command of the art of cocktail creation, preparation and mixing. She knows which components love and merge in the glass to create an exciting pairing and celebrates mixology at its best with her 16-strong team in The Bar and Living Room at The Chedi Andermatt.
A drink can also be thought-provoking, surprising or just "sober". Sustainability also plays a central role for Marie Gerber. She uses 100% biodegradable rice straws, produces infusions for drinks from coffee grounds and dries lemon, lime and orange slices to decorate her liquid works of art.

Jean-Yves Blatt, General Manager of The Chedi Andermatt, is proud: "Our bar team absolutely deserves this award. Absolutely. The cigar lounge is awesome. All normal cigar prices like at the dealer. Except for the super rarities, of course.
I'll have to have a look. I'll combine it with an overnight stay.

A nice bar, but they once kicked us out at 0200 in the morning because they wanted to close...
There were about 40 of us! We all didn't think it was that cool.
We then went into the village and were able to continue partying in a small bar until it got light!
