After a patient wait, the time had finally come in the summer of 2023: Habanos S.A. presented the second Edición Regional, the San Cristóbal de La Habana Obispo, which was produced exclusively for Austria. The name „Obispo“ is reminiscent of the street of the same name in Havana. It belongs to

The format and the flavour

The San Cristóbal de La Habana Obispo, produced in the classic Robusto format, has a medium-strong to aromatic tobacco blend typical of the brand, and many aficionados also attest to the remarkable creaminess of this brand's cigars.

Due to the fact that a well-deserved after-work habanos is often combined with a glass of an excellent distillate, we don't want to go far afield in this case and present the „Alte Zwetschge“ from Alois Gölles. Only the best fruit is distilled for this, without any additives, using the traditional double distillation process in the manufactory's valuable copper kettles. Immediately afterwards, this plum brandy is allowed to mature for a full eight years in oak barrels. Its mild and ripe fruit flavours, paired with a soft woody note and an alcohol strength of 40 % vol. make this Austrian classic an ideal accompaniment to the San Cristóbal de La Habana Obispo.
