Personal impressions in taste
Recommended ageing: At least 4 years.
First half
- Tongue, palate: Lots of cocoa and wood
- Retronasal: Roasted aromas of burning, dark wood
- R+ ZiZo vacuum technology: Rusty aromas of strong and very dark coffee beans
- Umami: slightly spicy / juicy
- Strength 3/5
Second half
- Similar richness of aromas as the first half, but with much more intensity: Cocoa / wood / some earth / slightly sweetish
Conclusion
The Punch 48 from 2016 has developed magnificently. On the tissue paper (or what is that actually?) you can see strong residues of the tobacco. It has worked quite hard during the ageing process.
