Vintage Cohiba Coronas Especiales at The Chedi Andermatt, certainly before 1982, but the date can not be evaluated exactly. After my celebration on the occasion of the documentary "In the Heart of Havana", I sat in The Cigar Library at 07:30 in the morning and enjoyed this fantastic cigar before breakfast. You can find the tasting notes below before the Resources chapter on the topic.

Vintage Cohiba Coronas Especiales at The Chedi Andermatt. Before breakfast, 07:30.
An elegant cigar. It probably dates from the 1980s. The wrapper looks robust, but the taste was very good indeed.
The ash is stable and compact. To be seen in the background: The walk-in humidor at The Chedi Andermatt with the largest selection of cigars in the world in the hotel industry.
The first half is already over. But I enjoy to the fullest now also the second half.
The box of the Cohiba Coronas Especiales. "Jan 92" is probably the purchase date of the former owner of this box. This production with such a box was stopped in the course of 1982.
Cohiba Coronas Especiales and the back of the box. I can not definitively evaluate the boxing date. The abbreviation "VC" stands for the province "Villa Clara".
Right now you're in for a surprise... in the next photo....
...yes, these Cohiba were wrapped in cellophane and they are originals.
Nice to have seen such an old Cohiba box live!
Vintage Cohiba Coronas Especiales Tasting: 92 points is very decent for a vintage cigar. The smoking time was almost 1.5 hours.
