Villiger 1888 Torpedo in the endurance test

Villiger 1888 Torpedo in the endurance test? Well, the test wasn't that bad. Spoiler alert: You should see my satisfied smile! I tested three of them. You can find out whether everything is really good and perfect with this cigar in this photo test article.

A cigar test is subjective

Note: How a cigar tastes is influenced by personal taste preferences, taste memories, the form of the day, what you have eaten or drunk beforehand. Even the lighting in the room has an influence on the flavour you experience. The notes described here therefore do not necessarily correspond to your own impressions.

Villiger 1888 Torpedo - The 3-way test

Villiger 1888 Torpedo
Villiger 1888 Torpedo: An elegant cigar.
Villiger 1888 Torpedo
It is excellently rolled and has perfect draw resistance. Lighting up was a little more difficult than usual with all three specimens. The tobacco smouldered quickly in some places (as always) and in others it took a little longer. In the end, all three specimens smouldered perfectly and for a long time, right up to the finale.

The smoke note (flavour) is rich and somewhat spicy. It smokes quite well, but not excessively. The Villiger 1888 Torpedo smoulders very well and for a long time.
Villiger 1888 Torpedo
I noticed that all three specimens were crooked. It was nothing dramatic. I gave the cigar time to correct itself. In the end, the flame always had to help.
Villiger 1888 Torpedo
A fantastic cigar to savour and relax with.

So! But now the tasting notes! The cigar develops slightly upwards from the beginning to the finale. It remains almost linear, but the flavours become somewhat more intense towards the finale; wood and nut in particular pick up speed.

Using my tasting tool (link to PDF see below under resources on the topic), I noted the following: R+ technique > slightly flora and slightly free (like a meadow, fantastic!) / slightly peppery / wood.
Villiger 1888 Torpedo
Retronasal > nut / some pepper / wood. //// Tongue, palate > nut / some pepper / wood / slightly acidic.

The Anita is neatly embossed and beautifully decorated. The paper is of high quality. It's simply fun when the overall picture of the cigar fits like this.

As always: „If I like the cigar, maybe you will too. But if you don't like it, then there's more for me!‘ 🙂
