I was very curious to see what this Vegueros Especiales No. 2 from that year would taste like.

With 89 points on the rating scale, this light cigar is exceptionally good for its age of 23 years. The first thing I noticed were the slightly thicker veins, unusual for its thin format. A thick vein ran through the cigar. However, this was not a major obstacle, the draw resistance was still a little too firm. The burn was impressively even from start to finish.

I rate the strength of the cigar at 2/5 - perfect for lovers of light cigars. The taste was subtle and balanced: Subtle notes of cocoa, leather and wood mingled with rich roasted coffee bean flavors, complemented by a hint of pepper and a subtle grassy undertone. These flavor nuances were subtle but in perfect harmony.

The first five minutes already promised an excellent smoke.

The smoke was mild and subtle, with a round aroma that pampered the senses. The aftertaste was equally subtle and pleasant, a sign of the high quality of the cigar.

The ash was compact and held very well.

It was a real pleasure to enjoy this light cigar at the proud age of 23. A real quality product that shows how well cigars can develop over the years. A wonderful experience for any cigar lover.

The cigar remained almost linear, but with an exceptional balance and many subtle flavor nuances.
