Infused cigars - a new level of enjoyment
Infused cigars are a new level of enjoyment. In this programme from The Chedi Andermatt, you will find out what this is and what such a cigar tastes like.
The video: Infused cigars
The best way to enjoy the video is with a great cigar and a nice drink.

What are infused cigars?
The cigars are stored in glass vials for several weeks. At the bottom hangs a bubble with a spirit that matches the cigar. At the top, the fiole is sealed with a cork lid. It is a self-contained system. The spirit slowly releases the moisture for the cigar and infuses the tobacco with its flavour.
To be honest, I was sceptical when I first saw it. In the video with Marie Gerber (Manager of The Bar & Lounges and Cigars at The Chedi Andermatt), we talk about this extremely bizarre way of enjoying cigars. You can find out how it tasted in the video below.
We tested the Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2021, tasting it infused and uninfused with two different spirits as a pairing. Experience this exciting cigar ZEN programme. We hope you enjoy it.

- We enjoyed the following drinks while chatting
- Marie Gerber: The Balvenie Portwood 21 years, Whisky
- Vasilij Ratej: Ron Barcelo Imperial Premium Blend, Rum
What is Cigars ZEN?
This is a format from Zigarren.Zone Social Network. What does ZEN mean in the context of this format? It is often said that ZEN offers nothing. Neither a teaching, nor a secret, nor answers. It means living life to the fullest. You can find an article about this at Wikipedia. So this is about celebrating the pleasure of a cigar, a drink and a conversation. Simply switching off and taking time for yourself. Simply being and slowing down without pursuing a specific goal.

Years ago, my father-in-law tried to persuade me to put a glass of rum or cognac in the humidor. He had apparently always celebrated this and was delighted. But now we'd rather try Vasilij's recommendation instead of scenting the whole humidor ?
Interesting contribution ?
I certainly wouldn't do that 🙂 Cigars react differently to spirits. „Scenting“ a humidor with spirits could have a negative effect on the less strong cigars.
