There are numerous facets to enjoyment, and an impressive selection of them could be experienced at the eighth German HABANOS DAY, which took place at Bückeburg Castle on the first weekend in September. 250 aficionadas and aficionados from all over Germany and Austria were there. In the highly impressive Bückeburg Castle, seat of the Princely House of Schaumburg-Lippe, the focus was on Habanos, probably the best-known pleasure product from Cuba.
Attractive seminars on Habanos Day 2023

Once again, guests were able to put together their own individual seminar program from a wide range of offerings. Humidor expert Marc André invited the guests to smoke comparisons and explained how storage conditions affect the enjoyment of three differently stored cigars.

Spirits "guru" Jürgen Deibel provided new ideas for tasty combinations under the title "Trends from the world of spirits". Hagen Bastian and Maximilian Frick from the Mount Everest Tea Company introduced the participants to the world of the best-known infusion drink.

Under the guidance of the Cuban top Torcedora Juana Ramos Guerra and Luis Mustelier Pérez, the long-time companion of the Habanos Torcedor tours in Germany, the participants could try themselves in the art of "totalmente a mano" cigar making, while Sommelière Christine Dördelmann and Benedict Baumeister from the Bremen Wine College offered exciting insights into the world of fortified wines with Sherry, Madeira and Port.

Claudia Puszkar-Vetter, journalist and expert on cigar manufactures in Havana, took visitors to Habanos Day on a virtual journey to the Cuban capital, while Jörg Werker from S.T. Dupont presented high-quality accessories for the aficionado.

A special highlight was offered by the 5THAvenue their guests with the world premiere of Romeo y Julieta Cupidos. This new figurado format with the production name "Veronas" has a length of 148 mm and a large ring gauge of 55. Habanos S.A. has earmarked this cigar for exclusive sale in La Casas del Habano and Habanos Specialists stores.
At an atmospheric evening event in the presence of Anamary Suárez Quiñones, Trade Councilor of the Republic of Cuba in Germany, the HABANOS DAY 2023 came to an enjoyable close with fine drinks, fine Habanos and a Caribbean-inspired buffet. The evening was musically accompanied by Nicholas von der Nahmer and Steffen Dieckow. Marta Paley thrilled the audience with her artistry and juggling. Host Henriette Frädrich led through the evening.

Already the evening before, more than 170 guests had gathered at Bückeburg Castle for the so-called "smoke-in" in the magnificent ballroom.
The HABANOS DAY 2023 was supported among other things by S.T. Dupont, the Mount Everest Tea Company, company Hauser, the Bremen wine college as well as the medium partners ZIGARREN magazine and Smokersnews/Smokersplanet.
