Corrida Honduras Robusto+

Corrida Honduras Robusto+ test report

I tested the Corrida Honduras Robusto+. It is a brand from Villiger. Villiger produces excellent long-filler premium cigars. Tip: There is a very short video at the end that shows how I open the cigars (and don't cut them open).

Conclusion:

The wrapper and binder of the Corrida Honduras Robusto+ come from Honduras. The filler contains tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua.

The strong wave burn surprised me in the first five minutes. However, it corrected itself as quickly as it had arrived. During the smoke, the wave burn appeared repeatedly in the first half and corrected itself again and again. That's a good sign. Interesting: From the second half onwards, the burning behavior is perfect.

What I like about the Corrida Honduras Robusto+ is the pronounced taste of coffee beans, nuts and wood. The balance of this cigar always puts a smile on my face. These flavor nuances are not overwhelmingly strong, but wonderfully present.

It glows for a long time.

From about the second half, I notice the pronounced, full-bodied taste of coffee beans. Wonderful!

The overall development of the cigar during smoking is slightly increasing. But to describe it as linear would not do the cigar justice. It burns very well and for a long time. The draw resistance is optimal. The strength is 2/5 at the beginning and increases to 3/5 in the course of the second half.

The ash is stable, even if it doesn't look like it. It has cracks, but it holds (you can't see it in the photo). Unbelievable - I am thrilled!

The ash is stable.

I opened the cigar like this: I only removed the top cap of the cigar cap and did NOT cut the cigar. This works best with cigars with a flat head. These cigars are already cut at the factory. Watch the short video.

A cigar test is subjective. The taste of a cigar is influenced by personal taste preferences, taste memories, the shape of the day, what you have eaten or drunk before. Even the lighting mood in the room influences the taste experience. The taste nuances described here therefore do not have to correspond to one's own impressions.
