In today's show we welcome Katja Gnann and Reinhold C. Widmayer. Home office is the order of the day because of COVID-19. Katja was at home and her office is almost a small library. I think there are hundreds of books on all kinds of topics. And, yes, they are real, physical printed materials, not a digital wallpaper.
Reinhold was in the office. In the background, you can see many issues of Cigarjournal. These are also physical printed products. Vasilij was in his lounge and guided through the show.

Theme 1: A special kind of experience with e-cigars
Reinhold was at the Intertabac trade fair a few years ago (as he is every year). As he walked through the halls looking at the products before the gates opened, one stand caught his eye: E-cigars from COHIBA, Montecristo and other Cuban cigar brands. He was amazed, thinking that Habanos S.A. would expand its product portfolio to include e-cigars. He could not believe it at all. But what he then experienced, please watch the video.
Topic 2: Print media and their justification in the digital world
Does the print medium Cigarjournal still have any justification at all in our digital world? What do the readers think? Katja and Reinhold go into this in detail and explain why the print edition of Cigarjournal is even on the rise. We also talked about the future: Will print media still exist in 100 years? In what form will people receive their information?
Topic 3: Tasting panel: Purchased ratings or what's really going on?
Are the cigar ratings merely purchased marketing tools of the cigar brands? Or are they real cigar tests? How does this actually work? Reinhold tells us in an impressive way about the gigantic logistics behind it and how the test cigars are shipped internationally.
Bonus topic: Blog from the Origen and how it will go on with the travel blog
Blog from the Origen: The last entry is from February 2020, just before the lockdown because of COVID-19. Katja Gnann tells us why there was no further activity on the blog and what the future of this wonderful blog looks like.
I agree with that. It's always fun to chat during a smoke on Zigarren.Zone.
But, the video has a picture/sound offset. Both Safari and Chrome. Even after multiple launches. But in this case, the sound is enough ?
Yes, every now and then. Has to do with ZOOM and the internet quality. Sorry, also wish that these problems no longer occur.
