Bock Robusto

Bock Robusto Test Report

Bock Robusto and here is my test report. BOCK used to be a Cuban cigar brand and is also considered the inventor of the cigar ring. At some point, the brand disappeared. Towards the end of the 1990s, VILLIGER took over the brand and brought it back to life.

A cigar test is subjective

Note: How the cigar tastes is influenced by personal taste preferences, taste memories, the shape of the day, what you have eaten or drunk before. Even the lighting mood in the room has an influence on the experienced taste. The notes described here therefore do not have to match your own impressions.

Conclusion

The Bock Robusto impresses with very nice aromas in a very good balance. None of the flavors described above are unpleasantly predominant. Sometimes one is more dominant than the other - a really great balance. In general, the two specimens I tested were rather tart and robust in taste. This is not meant in a negative way. This cigar does not have a deep complexity, and that is not its claim.

The burn is occasionally crooked and I had to help with the flame on both specimens. Nothing dramatic. The cigar glows for a normal length of time. You just have to be a little careful that it doesn't burn out. This is the case with most cigars.

The cigar gains a little more depth in the course of the first half. It becomes "rounder", "softer" and fuller-bodied. It obviously needed a certain operating temperature - haha -. The second half becomes slightly stronger and individual flavor notes also increase.

These two specimens gave me a really nice, decent smoke.

Occasional crooked firing can be easily corrected with the flame.
