Zino Nicaragua 2025: One alphabet, three pictures - and plenty to talk about
There are photo campaigns that you briefly like, save and then forget about. And there are campaigns that stick in your head like a good chorus - because they are different. Because they are courageous. And because they do exactly what a strong idea needs to do: Generate attention. Our photo campaign was exactly like this Zino Nicaragua 2025.

The idea: 26 letters. 26 small stages.
The idea was initiated by the Senior Product Manager of ZINO Nicaragua, Enrico Gunde from Oettinger Davidoff Basel. We weren't satisfied with „a few pretty pictures“. We wanted a concept that you could recognise before you even read the text. So we took the alphabet - and turned it into a game.
A series of three for each letter.
Three pictures that belong together. Three variants of one idea. Three small scenes, which not only show, but tell.
And because a good concept needs to be recognised, the whole thing was posted on social media at regular intervals: letter by letter, series by series.
Like a continuous comic - only without speech bubbles. But with atmosphere.
FotoWerk 132, Christian Schmid: Precision meets courage
The whole thing was photographed by FotoWerk 132 - and yes, you can see it: Someone was at work here who doesn't just „point and shoot“, but creates images. Christian Schmid realised the project with exactly the right mix that such campaigns need:
cleanly crafted, visually clear - and open enough to give the idea space.
And then came the twist: The backgrounds were created with AI.
Not as a cheap trick, but as a creative tool. As a second level. As a stage on which the letter scenes were suddenly allowed to do things that in reality would be either unaffordable, impossible or simply... too crazy. (Which in this case is a compliment.)
The reactions: From „brilliant“ to „huh?“
And now comes the part you can't plan - but should love:
People have reacted. Some found the series funny and inspiring. Others said: „Not everything suits me.“
And you know what? That's perfectly okay.
Because a campaign that pleases everyone is often a campaign that doesn't really interest anyone. If a project has corners, if it allows for interpretation, if you get stuck for a moment - then it's alive.
And that's exactly what happened: The letters were discussed. Evaluated.
The result: attention - and a real project feeling
No matter whether someone shouted „YES!“ at every letter or raised an eyebrow at two or three series:
This campaign has made a difference.
It has made it clear that Zino Nicaragua 2025 is not just a product, but a theme, a style, a conversation.
And quite honestly, it's one of the hardest currencies to get these days.
Thank you - and now: the whole gallery
So let's just take this opportunity: Thank you.
Thank you for this project. For having the courage to go through with a concept. For the work that went into every set. For the combination of photography craftsmanship and the AI stage. And for the fact that we didn't play it safe, but went for impact.
You can now admire the complete photo gallery.
And I promise: even if you don't find every letter a „perfect fit“ - you're guaranteed to think more than once: „Okay... that's pretty strong.“ 😅
