Zino Honduras: When Honduras suddenly asks for more
WHAT? Yes holla, the cigar fairy! Zino Honduras is not a quiet extension. It is a statement. More intensity, more character - and a clear step in a new direction.

A new sound in the Zino universe
From 26 June 2026*, Oettinger Davidoff is expanding its Zino Cigars brand with a new line: Zino Honduras. And the very first thought of it conjures up an image: warm earth, dense air, tobacco fields alternating between glowing sun and cool nights. This is exactly where this cigar begins.
*Launch dates and availability may vary by country.

Zino Honduras appears as an independent line - not as a variation, but as a deliberate contrast to the existing Zino Nicaragua. While Nicaragua has already established a strong market position and a growing fan base, Honduras goes one step further: more intense, more characterful, more direct.
Who is it suitable for? For aficionados who want a Full-bodied experience with noticeably higher intensity search.
The blend: two regions, one field of tension
The core of this line lies in the interplay between two worlds:
- Jamastrán Valley - spicy, strong, distinctive
- Copán - sweet, woody, earthy

The whole thing is connected by a Ecuadorian binder leaf, which keeps the balance like a silent conductor. The climatic conditions in Copán are particularly fascinating. Warm days boost sugar production in the tobacco. Cold nights preserve this sweetness. The result is not a simple flavour - but a multi-layered foundation that slowly unfolds.

The real challenge, however, lay elsewhere: not only to mix these two characters - powerful and sweet - but also to create the right balance between them. harmoniously. A process that requires experience, patience and craftsmanship.
Flavour: Central America on the move
Zino Honduras has a clear Central American profile - and thus deliberately sets itself apart from Zino Nicaragua. What happens in the smoke is not a static flavour, but a game:
- Rosewood
- Orange
- Cream
This combination is not accidental. It moves between depth and freshness, between structure and elegance. The result: a Medium-intensity, complex pleasure experience, which occupies a position of its own within the Oettinger Davidoff portfolio.

Formats
Zino Honduras not only comes with a new blend - but with a clear focus on flexibility:
- Half Corona: available in wooden boxes of 25 and tins of 5 (pre-cut) / savouring time: 20 minutes | Dimensions: RG 44 x 4″ | Ø 1.7 cm x 10.2 cm
- Robusto: available in wooden boxes of 25, packs of 5 and Freshpacks of 4 (pre-cut) / savouring time: 45 minutes | Dimensions: RG 54 x 5″ | Ø 2.2 cm x 12.7 cm
- Toro: available in wooden boxes of 25, packs of 5 and Freshpacks of 4 (pre-cut) / savouring time: 50 minutes | Dimensions: RG 50 x 6″ | Ø 2.0 cm x 15.2 cm
But the real difference lies in the detail: Pre-cut cigars. All cigars are already pre-cut, especially in the Freshpacks. No cutter, no hesitation. Simply light up and let go.

The philosophy remains
Despite all the innovations, the core of Zino remains the same: „Live life from A to Zino.“ A thirst for discovery. Openness. Spontaneity. But Zino Honduras adds a new dimension: the brand is responding to a clear trend in the market - the desire for more intense cigars. Javier González (SVP Head Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff) puts it in a nutshell: „The line combines quality craftsmanship with flexibility and spontaneity - exactly what Zino stands for. At the same time, the price positioning remains deliberately accessible. Premium, but not elitist. Pleasure that doesn't have to be an exclusive club.“
Introduction: The moment it begins
The official start: 26 June 2026* Market launch in specialist retailers and convenience stores. *Launch dates and availability may vary by country.
Conclusion: More than just a new line
Zino Honduras is not an update. It is a deliberate impulse. A step towards intensity - without losing the lightness of the brand. In other words: this cigar doesn't just want to please. It wants to trigger something.
I can't wait to see when the time comes!
