Skelton xRelaxx Robusto. Today I would like to tell you about my experiences with the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto. This cigar fascinated me from start to finish (especially because of the visual design and the completely cool market appearance). I am happy to share my impressions with you. Fact sheet of the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto

The quality

The first glance at the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto reveals a silky, oily wrapper leaf. It promises a special smoking experience. The cigar is evenly rolled.

I tested three of them. After about 10 minutes: All three cigars had some damage to the binder leaf (note, the BOTTOM leaf, and NOT the wrapper). This led to a sticky burn. I let the cigars smoulder and wanted to see how far the wedge burn went and whether it corrected itself. Yes, it corrected itself.

All three specimens had a wedge burn in the first half. It extended up to 1cm and corrected itself (after the damage to one of the two wrappers had passed).

What a fantastic eye-catcher! The Skelton xRelaxx cigar bench. Sorry... it's called the Skelton xRelaxx TOTENKOPFbank. 😅

The first five minutes of the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto

I tested three cigars.

Lighting is effortless and the draw resistance is optimal. The burn is even and a pleasantly full-bodied flavour develops on the tongue within the first five minutes. The wedge burn is not yet present here.

I tested them for three weeks. I tested each cigar at different times of the day.

The first and second half

The ash holds pretty well from the Skelton xRelaxx.

In the first half of the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto, slightly spicy notes unfold, accompanied by a sweet floral nuance. A hint of pepper, wood and a slight acidity round off the flavour experience. Retronasal and with the ZiZo R+ technique, leather, cocoa and above all a lot of coffee bean flavour come to the fore, which makes the cigar particularly interesting for coffee lovers. 😅

The cigar remains rather linear in the first half, but develops a little more depth in the second half. The flavour nuances become more intense and subtle almond aromas can occasionally be detected.

The second half brings more depth and fuller flavour nuances.

About the Skelton xRelaxx Roubsto

This new creation from Tonio Neugebauer and the dark, somewhat rough Mexican San Andres wrapper leaf already give us a hint that something special awaits us here. The use of high-quality tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua ensures a beautiful variety of flavours.

What is particularly interesting is that the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto uses two wrappers from Indonesia and Nicaragua, which (should) add an extra dimension to the smoke. The cigar remains in a light to medium strength range until the end, making it accessible to aficionados of all experience levels.

The presentation of the Skelton xRelaxx cigars in a solid, golden glass pot with lid, on which the hand-painted logo of Skel Ton cigars is emblazoned, perfectly rounds off the overall experience of this novelty.

Conclusion

I can highly recommend the Skelton xRelaxx Robusto. It offers a beautiful, varied flavour experience, good workmanship and a sensational presentation. A cigar that is definitely worth trying.
