Partagás Serie E No.2 Gran Reserva Cosecha 2015 - the older, the better. The high-gloss lacquered box contains 15 fine cigars. Only tobaccos aged for at least five years are used to make the Gran Reservas. Available in Germany since March 2023, it is now also available in Switzerland: From 24.10.23 in the Casa del Habano and from 31.10.223 at the Specialists.

Format introduced in 2016

The Reserva line from Habanos is traditionally characterised by the production of absolute classics in the range, which are made from specially matured tobaccos. In recent years, such formats have included the Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas and H.Upmann Sir Winston (both as Gran Reservas) or the Cohiba Robusto and the Bolívar Belicosos Finos (both as Reservas).

Now comes the Partagás Serie E No.2 as a Gran Reserva made from tobaccos harvested in 2015, a format that is still quite young. It was only introduced by Habanos in 2016. Within a short space of time, however, the powerful and flavoursome Duke format has become an absolute bestseller for the Partagás brand.

And it is by no means short of such fast movers! With a length of 140 mm and a large ring gauge of 52, it is extremely comfortable to hold and perfectly emphasises the tobacco blend of the Partagás line series. This was reason enough for Habanos S.A. to dedicate a Gran Reserva edition to this format. 

Harvest from the year 2015

These excellent cigars are made from particularly carefully matured tobaccos from the 2015 harvest, making them undeniably one of the most exclusive and exceptional flavours in the world of Habanos. It goes without saying that only the most experienced rollers in the factories are selected to roll these masterpieces from the best tobacco leaves. Only 5,000 boxes of 15 cigars are produced worldwide from each Gran Reserva edition.

It will therefore undoubtedly soon be one of the most sought-after rarities for Habanos collectors and aficionados. After the Partagás Lusitania Gran Reserva 2007, which was introduced in 2013, this is the second time that a Partagás format made from tobaccos aged for at least five years has been launched on the market. Another classic of the brand - the Partagás Serie D No.4 - was the prelude to the Reserva and Gran Reserva line from Habanos in 2005. 

Tobacco matured for 5 years

For the production of Gran Reservas, only tobaccos aged for at least five years are used for the filler, binder and wrapper, which come from the best Vegas Finas de Prima from the Pinar del Rio zone. The Spanish word „cosecha“ means „harvest“ and indicates the year from which the tobacco leaves used originate. 

These cigars are labelled as „Gran Reserva“ with a second black and gold cigar ring. The elegant boxes have a high-gloss black finish and emphasise the elegant appearance of the Gran Reserva cigars.
