West Tampa White Line Robusto in the test

West Tampa White Line Robusto in the test. One day, an e-mail fluttered through before my eyes. The content: New in Switzerland, West Tampa cigars. I immediately took notice. Because the brand owner is Rick Rodriguez, a well-known name in the cigar world. I immediately set to work and soon tested the White Line Robusto. You can find everything about the brand from Nicaragua under Resources. I hope you enjoy my photo tasting. Thanks to the Swiss importer The Royal Cigar Company AG, there's one more choice for us cigar connoisseurs.

A cigar test is subjective

Note: How a cigar tastes is influenced by personal taste preferences, taste memories, the form of the day, what you have eaten or drunk beforehand. Even the lighting in the room has an influence on the flavour you experience. The notes described here therefore do not necessarily correspond to your own impressions.

West Tampa White Line Robusto tested

West Tampa
Hi, I'm Rick Rodriguez. I hope you enjoy this photo tasting from Zigarren.Zone and as soon as you enjoy my cigars, I'll tell you now: 'HAPPY SMOKE!
West Tampa White Line Robusto
The wrapper is silky and the cigar is evenly rolled. The White Line has a medium brown wrapper leaf from Ecuador. This is referred to as a light pink wrapper leaf. It is supposed to have a light pink colour.

Well, I didn't see any pink, but I must confess that I was completely sober. The cold draw was fantastically sweet; now I was very excited about this cigar! As always, I analysed the cigar with the ZiZo Tasting Tool. The link to the free PDF download can be found below in the resources section.

The first five minutes

West Tampa White Line Robusto
Lighting is perfect and quick. The draw resistance is optimal. In the first five minutes, the burn is only even at the beginning. It soon gets a crooked burn; nothing dramatic (I've experienced brutal things) and the flame helps with this problem. The strength is light at the beginning, a 2/5 at most.

We are still in the first five minutes; the flavour is pleasant on the tongue and slightly intense despite the slight strength. Retronasal and ZiZo R+ technique it is slightly intense (see the resources section for the link to these techniques).

The course of the smoke

West Tampa White Line Robusto
The course of the smoke: Aftertaste is intense on the tongue and remains positive. The tongue: slightly peppery / cocoa / slightly acidic and slightly salty. There are white dots on the ash. This indicates a particularly aromatic wrapper leaf (oil deposits) and is always a good sign of the quality of the wrapper leaf.
Great cigar!
Retronasal: slightly peppery / coffee beans / wood ///// ZiZo R+ Technique: slightly peppery / spicy / wood. ///// I noticed that my salivation was stimulated during the smoke. I never had a dry mouth. I found that very interesting and pleasant.
It can steam, but not too much.
The flavour (room note) of the smoke is spicy and slightly hot. The flavour progression from start to finish: almost linear, but with a slight and steady increase.

Conclusion

Marvellous.
I gave the cigar 4.13 out of 5 points. I tested one sample. This cigar was solid and very well rolled. I think the anilla (cigar ring) is great, I like it very much. The paper is high quality and quite sturdy. The print is clean. To buy or not to buy? Definitely buy, try this cigar!

As always: „If I like the cigar, maybe you will too. But if you don't like it, then there's more for me!‘ 🙂
