Foreword to the maturing of the Romeo Y Julieta Linea De Oro Dianas
The cigar should be matured for at least 5 years. Strength: 3/5. I have already tested four specimens. In 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Each year the change was clear! More in this review.
The packaging is unprecedentedly beautiful
Before we get to the tasting, I would like to show you this beautiful packaging. It is of the highest quality.
The box is beautifully polished to a high gloss. There are no visible defects.
The Vista adorns the lid of the box. It is detailed and perfectly crafted.
All prints are perfectly executed on all three box formats of the Romeo Y Julieta Linea de Oro.
Every detail is right.

I tested the Dianas format. The cigar is 145 mm long and has a ring gauge of 52 (21 mm diameter).
The wrapper leaves are of very good quality and the cigars are perfectly rolled. If you look closely at the ash, you can see white dots on it. The wrapper leaf has very small "spots". These are deposits of essential oils. Such wrapper leaves are particularly aromatic. I have already tested four Dianas.
A second ring adorns the base of the cigar. It is perfectly attached and can be easily removed without leaving any residue or damaging the wrapper leaf. If you look closely, you can see the very small "spots" on the wrapper leaf. These wrappers are particularly aromatic.
The insert is in the box and is excellently embossed and printed.
The cigar ring is also neatly printed and embossed. The holographic effect can be seen on the two stripes.
First five minutes and the first half
The first five minutes are great. The cigar smokes properly!
The Romeo Y Julieta Linea de Oro Dianas is very creamy, has a pleasant pepper note (not too strong), lots of wood and a little nut.
The ash is compact and durable. Nevertheless, caution is required and the length of the ash must not be exaggerated.
The first half develops very well. The peppery notes remain constant, but the woody and nutty notes gain dominance and become even creamier. A very discreet sweetness remains in the background.
The second half and the final
In the second half and until the finale, it becomes quite bitter and spicy. This is not a fault of the cigar. As a reminder, the boxing date is June 2021 (JUN21). I tasted it in April 24 and before that in 2021, 2022, 2023.
Now, in 2024, there is a clear change compared to previous years. In previous years, the cigar tasted quite bitter and spicy in the first half. But it got better from year to year. My recommendation: age for at least 5 years.
The price
