The Rocky Patel Gold Label is a medium to strong-bodied cigar produced in the company's own Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. In Switzerland it is imported by The Royal Cigar Company AG.

I smoked the cigar at Man's World in Zurich. Conclusion in a nutshell: Great!

The Gold Label blend consists of an Ecuadorian wrapper leaf that encases two binder leaves - Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade. The filler consists of selected tobaccos from the Nicaraguan regions of Estelí and Jalapa. This combination ensures a complex and balanced taste profile.

When smoked, notes of earth, spices and a subtle sweetness unfold. Many aficionados report aromas such as toasted bread, coffee, leather and black pepper. Additional nuances such as nuts, caramel and occasionally interesting accents such as citrus notes or sandalwood develop over the course of smoking.
