Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso

Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso and my smoke at 07.30. The Belicoso is vulnerably mild. This Davidoff Cigar goes well with morning coffee. I normally describe a cigar in technical terms. So it's not a pleasure smoke, but a technical smoke. The differences are big. The pleasure smoke is self-explanatory. The technical smoke, on the other hand, is characterized by a focus on different directions. I check many different aspects of the cigar using the Zigarren.Zone Tasting Tool. Who was Sir Winston Churchill?

Throughout his life, Sir Winston Churchill was a traveler, a wanderer. He explored the world through his work as a war correspondent, broadening his horizons and his mind. His travels also took him to Cuba, where he discovered his love of cigars. In fact, seeds from Cuba led to tobaccos in the blend of this Belicoso. Later, Sir Churchill's wanderlust took him to Marrakech. A place that provided him with inspiration for many of his paintings and which is as rich and full of aromas as this cigar. It would certainly have appealed to Sir Winston's exotic tastes.

What is "retronasal"? A fantastic increase in enjoyment with the Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso

Retronasal cigar enjoyment enhances the taste. What it is and, why it works and how to do it please read here. Especially look at the ZiZo vacuum technology. Incredible increase in the enjoyment of the cigar!

Let the enjoyment begin.
Simply wonderful.

What is the "R+ ZiZo vacuum technology"?

With this technique, the Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso achieves fantastic flavors: roasted aromas of wood and coffee beans - fantastic! This is the ultimate enjoyment of a cigar. How do you do the R+ technique? It's difficult to describe. I'll give it a try. Here's an example: a baby sucking on a pacifier. Try this technique with a cigar. Very little smoke gets into the mouth. But it passes over the tongue and goes straight through the nose. I tried it with about 10 cigars before I mastered it. Please be very careful with this technique when practicing: the smoke hit the back of my larynx several times. That was really bad. But now that I can do it, it's a perfect technique for enjoying a cigar.

Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso with your morning coffee.
The pleasure begins - wonderful. And no - I didn't need that many matches to light it. It's just a cool effect, I thought. Is that so - is it a cool effect? 😉

What is umami?

This means "savory", "spicy", "essence", "meaty". This blending of taste sensations is perceived in the middle of the tongue. You can find a good article about it on Wikipedia. The Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso has a hint of juicy, slightly spicy and somehow light roasted aromas of meat. But very smooth!

Acclimatization recommendation: With cellophane 1 week1 in the humidor.

Non Cuba cigars and the important acclimatization

The Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso can be enjoyed immediately after purchase. Nevertheless, my tip: The fact is that you don't know when the cigar was imported and how long it rested with the importer. You also don't know how long the resting period was at the retailer. The cigars have a shock after being transported from the tropics to us in Europe. They have to acclimatize first. The industry is sales-oriented. The cigars have to be sold quickly. Therefore, they may not taste as they should. I recommend a general acclimatization period in your humidor of at least 2 weeks after purchase. Depending on the brand and series, even longer, which I emphasize in this article.

If you buy single copies

To be honest, I wouldn't buy a single copy of the Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso, but the box of 4. Nevertheless, my tip: put the cigar with the cellophane in the humidor. If your cigar does not have cellophane: Put it in tubos and then in the humidor. Or you can put the individual cigars in a Zippo bag and put a small Boveda inside. You then seal it and place it in the humidor. Cigars that are stored open without cellophane or a box lose their flavor very quickly. This is proven in this article with experiments.

Conclusion of the Davidoff Winston Churchill Belicoso

After just under 45 minutes, my enjoyment came to an end. I drank two black and unsweetened espressos. Yes, it really is true: it was 7.30 a.m. when I indulged in this pleasure. Wonderful, simply wonderful.

Almost at the end :)
Here I am about halfway through (after just under 30 minutes). I still have about 10 minutes of enjoyment ahead of me.
