The shop is an official La Casa del Habano and therefore I cannot understand the prices. E.g. Ramon Allones - Allones No. 2 (EL 2019) for CHF 350 or Monte Supremos (EL 2019) CHF 1300 These prices do not correspond to the prices valid in Switzerland, communicated by Intertabak AG. At least one Casa should sell the products at the official prices instead of taking even more money out of our pockets. Intertabak should ban such business practices for a Casa!!!
There are no fixed prices for cigars in Switzerland. Therefore, every shop can set its prices as it wishes. The licensor has no influence here. When it was launched in Switzerland in 2021, the Ramon Allones EL 2019 cost CHF 220 for a box of 10. As soon as demand increases, so do the prices. This series is more or less out of stock and is almost impossible to get. Whether the price of CHF 350 for the box of 10 is justified is something each buyer must decide for themselves. Depending on the brand and format, LE sell out extremely quickly. Prices then rise rapidly. That is normal.
I don't understand why the cigars are presented in open boxes in a casa like this. In my experience, you can clearly taste the flavours.
Furthermore, the photos are unprofessional and they look gloomy and uninviting. I would not shop there. ?
I'm with you. Storing cigars openly is nonsense. I think only in the specialised shop do they know it themselves. After all, it's a Casa del Habano and they offer a locker service and optimum storage. There are simply practical reasons for displaying cigars openly. Where would they get to if they had to open and close every box for a withdrawal? In a busy cigar shop, cigars are unlikely to lie around open for years. The box is empty beforehand.
