What is usually reserved for a select few became a tangible reality for Zigarren.Zone readers on 29 July 2025: an exclusive voyage of discovery through Maison Davidoff - in a place where tradition and modernity merge. As part of this private sightseeing tour, the renowned house opened its doors to the Zigarren.Zone community and provided fascinating insights into the philosophy, values and milestones from 150 years of company history.

The anniversary tour was more than just a historical review - it was a lively, emotional journey through 150 years of entrepreneurial highs and challenges. Anyone who thinks of „company tour“ as a sober series of figures was quickly proven wrong on this evening: with charm, expertise and a refreshing pinch of humour, the hosts led us through the premises and history of the Davidoff brand.

Rare exhibits, experienced live.

The insight into the company's development from a small tobacco shop in Basel to a world-renowned premium cigar supplier was particularly impressive. The tour combined milestones in the company's development with personal stories, visual impressions and fascinating details.

A real goosebump moment awaited the guests as they took their seats in the large conference room of Maison Davidoff - which is named after the company's longstanding patron, Dr Ernst Schneider. He successfully led the company into the 21st century. In this venerable room, a short film lasting around ten minutes was shown, which summarised the 150-year history of Oettinger Davidoff in a concentrated and emotional way. The high-quality production impressed with historical footage, statements and images that brought history to life.

Moments of pleasure in the garden with Davidoff cigars

Cigars, pleasure and summer sun.

After an already enjoyable journey through 150 years of Oettinger Davidoff, the beautiful garden of Maison Davidoff provided the perfect setting to bring the evening to a relaxed close. In pleasant summer temperatures, the guests were treated to selected Davidoff cigars and culinary delicacies, which also reflected the high standards of the house in the catering. Sophisticated canapés harmonised perfectly with the cigars served. Carefully selected Davidoff cigars were waiting in the humidor for guests to choose from - a generous gesture that made for delighted faces and shining eyes.

The evening developed into an enjoyable exchange between like-minded people. Conversations about cigars, history and personal experiences rounded off the experience. The guests all agreed that this tour was a real highlight of the 2025 cigar year.
