On 18.3.2022, the event "Smoke For Freedom" was held in Liestal in the outdoor area of the Oris cinema in Liestal.

Donations for peace

The idea of Esteban, owner of the cigar webshop flordetabaco.chThe aim of the evening was to send out a message from aficionados and aficionados about the current events in Ukraine and that the community is strongly committed to a peaceful solution. Donations were also collected on this evening for Swiss Solidarity.

Smoke for Freedom — A cozy evening for cigar lovers 🙂

The event opened at 6 p.m. and the first familiar faces arrived shortly afterwards and were warmly welcomed. One by one, more aficionados of the noble leaf roll arrived. After a brief chat, the selection of cigars was examined and a few moist eyes were observed, or was it because of the light breeze? 😉

People enjoyed the selection and asked for smokes that were not yet on their radar in order to take the opportunity to expand their smoking experience with new, unknown cigars. Afterwards, the cigars were enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, talking shop and exchanging experiences.

The later the evening, the fresher it got outside, but those present were well prepared and dressed accordingly. Kim Rihm, owner of Kino Oris and the Kinooris Bar, also had technical equipment ready and quickly deployed. The smoker's soul was also warmed with wonderful Cuban music and a touch of the Caribbean, which repeatedly battled with the breeze for supremacy in front of the cinema.

More Smoker's events in the pipeline

During Smoke Round 2, further event ideas were discussed and joyfully presented by the visitors, one of which emerged as a favorite, ...this much can already be revealed, it will be culinary (sausage master Luc from schnapswurst.ch will provide culinary delights), cinematic (Kim Rihm presents open-air cinema) and of course smoky (cigar aficionado Esteban from flordetabaco.ch will spoil you with fine cigars). A successful event came to an enjoyable end and happy and deeply relaxed aficionados left Liestal, but with a fixed date in their diary and the anticipation of being back in Liestal soon.

On 01.4.22 there's the Stetdli Smoke No. 1

The Smoker Community is already looking forward to the next upcoming event, the "Stetdli Smoke No. 1" in the Farnsburg in Liestal on 01.04.22.
