Review Silencio D'Oro Robusto
90 points in my Silencio D'Oro Robusto review. I admit: I wouldn't have thought so, because I've already tested another cigar from Silencio and it didn't impress me back then. This time it's different with the Silencio D'Oro Robusto.

Introduction
The Silencio D'Oro Robusto is a real insider tip for aficionados who are looking for a well-balanced cigar. Even the first impression reveals that this Robusto is not a smooth mainstream format, but has a personality. It shows corners and edges - and it is precisely these that make it interesting.
Tasted on 18.09.25, it left a lasting impression on me. I'll take you on a journey where rustic charm, complex flavours and an optimal draw play a leading role. The Robusto has always been a favourite format. With its compact length and balanced ring gauge, it offers around an hour of smoking pleasure. I tested a total of three of them.

Origin and concept
Vitola
- Vitola de salida: Robusto
- Cover sheet (wrapper): Ecuador, very rustic
- Binder (binder): Honduras
- Inlay (filler): Dominican Republic and Nicaragua
The blend is exciting: Ecuador as the origin for the rustic wrapper, Honduras as the stabilising binder and a strong mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the filler. This combination promises a multi-layered flavour right from the start.

Look, feel and finish
Visually, the Silencio D'Oro Robusto with a rustic, slightly rough wrapper leaf. Anyone expecting perfection in the form of silky smoothness will be surprised: this Robusto shows craftsmanship and character. The veins are visible, the feel is grippy. It looks authentic and handmade, far removed from industrial sterility.

Tasting notes
First half
Even the cold draw reveals Herbal-grassy notes. When lit, an aromatic base of wood and earth quickly unfolds. This is accompanied by a gentle, slightly bitter note which gives the cigar a distinctive personality. The draw is perfect - not too firm, not too light.
Second half
The flavour becomes more complex as the smoke progresses: Coffee notes and leather are more prominent and combine with a subtle, sweet fruitiness. Again and again a hint of Umami which reinforces the balance between flavour and depth. The Robusto remains medium to slightly strong without ever being overpowering (strength 3/5).

Smoking behaviour and combustion
One small drawback is the burn-off: it is not always at its best. Sometimes slightly slanted, sometimes wavy - occasional re-firing is required here. The Train on the other hand, remains optimal from start to finish. Despite the small burn-off corrections, this does not seriously impair the overall impression.

Conclusion - Review Silencio D'Oro Robusto
The Silencio D'Oro Robusto is a cigar that scores with rustic charm, honest craftsmanship and a wide range of flavours. Although it requires a little tolerance when burning, it rewards you with a outstanding balance between wood, leather, coffee, herbs and subtle fruitiness.
For aficionados who are not looking for flawless perfection, but for a authentic, lively cigar experience, the Silencio D'Oro Robusto is a pleasure that should not be missed.
