New Mr. President at MOMBACHO. The company announces that founder Cam Heaps will take on the role of President. The company is celebrating its significant 15th anniversary. Heaps founded the company in 2006 while backpacking through Central America. He was fascinated by the spirit of the people of Nicaragua, their vibrant culture and the breathtaking beauty of historic Granada. He ended his trip with the unforgettable moment of enjoying a cigar on the summit of the Mombacho volcano. This moment led to 15 years of successfully producing and selling cigars straight from the heart of Granada, Nicaragua.
Heaps has worked in the craft beer industry for thirty years. He was a co-founder of Steam Whistle Brewing. More recently, he and his partners have revived the legendary Pantera Performance Boats brand. Claudio Sgroi, Master Blender and Partner of Mombacho Cigars commented, "It's great to have Cam now heading up operations and what a perfect way to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Cam's oversight has always been key to the cigar brand's business. His deeper involvement will be critical to taking the company to the next level. As business partners and colleagues, we are excited to see what the future holds for the brand."
Heaps adds: "It is an honor to join Claudio and the Mombacho family in Nicaragua. With their hard work, passion and warm nature, we are well positioned for continued success and growth."
