HR Cigars by Hiroshi Robaina. Who is behind it? You read that right. He has launched his own cigar brand outside of Cuba. The cigars are already very popular, especially in the USA, and are finding their way all over the world. The exclusive importer in Switzerland is Urs Portmann Tabakwaren AG, Kreuzlingen. I tested three formats.

Three lines

Three lines are available in Switzerland. The tobacco: The wrapper comes from Ecuador, the binder and filler from Nicaragua. According to the manufacturer, they are produced in Nicaragua at the La Corona Cigars S.A. cigar factory. The master roller Omar González is also on board.

The lightest line is the HR White by Hirochi Robaina: 109 Double Corona (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / Toro (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / Robusto Gordo (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / White Rothschild Robusto (CHF 220.00, box of 20).

The line is medium-strong HR Signature by Hiroshi RobainaBelicoso (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / Corona (CHF 240.00, box of 16 -> the only one with a 16 unit) / Hermoso (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / Sublime (CHF 290.00, box of 20) / Toro (CHF 290.00, box of 20).

The strongest line is the HR Blue by Hiroshi Robaina: Corona Gordo (CHF 220.00, box of 20) / Gordo (CHF 260.00, box of 20) / Petit Edmundo (CHF 220.00, box of 20) / Toro (CHF 260.00, box of 20).
