Exclusive contract secured: 5TH Avenue to take over distribution of Habanos cigars in Germany, Austria and Poland in 2024

Rumors are currently spreading about new distribution structures for Cuban cigars. In the course of my research, I received the following statement from Villiger, 5TH Avenue Products Trading-GmbH:

"5TH Avenue Product Trading has signed an exclusive contract with Habanos for the distribution of Habanos products in the German, Austrian and Polish markets for the year 2024. Negotiations are currently underway to extend this contract for 2025 and beyond in line with standard procedures. Intertabak AG is not affected by this and there are no discussions there either."

Mr. Louis-Charles Levy, member of the Board of Directors of Intertabak AG, confirmed upon request: "Regarding the response concerning Intertabak AG, I confirm that the company is not affected in any way and that there are no discussions of any kind."
