For the eleventh time, Davidoff has created a Limited Edition to duly celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Limited Edition 2023 delights aficionados and collectors worldwide with Davidoff's largest selection to date of products based around a Chinese zodiac sign.

To delight those born in the Year of the Rabbit in particular, the brand is launching a limited edition cigar in Perfecto format, which combines seven different tobaccos. Aficionados can also look forward to a pipe, pipe tobacco, an ashtray, a cutter, a Masterpiece Humidor and another strictly limited edition that is only available in Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores: the Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Flagship Exclusive.

The year of the hare

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, a zodiac sign known for its calm nature and profound character. Davidoff has chosen a Perfecto format for the interpretation of this sign of the zodiac, as it is reminiscent of the ears of a hare. The multi-layered blend with its slowly revealing complexity also perfectly reflects the personality of the hare.

Davidoff Year Of The Rabbit 2023 — An elegant format.

This is due to the conical shape of the cigar. Seven different tobaccos, among which are filler tobaccos with an average age of 4.5 years, come together and invite aficionados to discover the complexity of the cigar layer by layer.

A little restrained at first, the expertly rolled Perfecto delights with peppery notes, which are soon joined by those of leather. Here the true complexity of the cigar unfolds. The intensity increases slightly towards the end without ever overwhelming the palate. A cocoa sweetness concludes this pleasant taste experience.

The ten Perfecto cigars come in a smart box inspired by the character of the rabbit. The design of the lacquered exterior is restrained and elegant and does not yet reveal what depth is hidden inside.

The lid features the Year of the Rabbit symbol and the visibly highlighted Year of the Rabbit pattern, which mimics the gentle and steady hobble of a rabbit. The interior of the box presents itself like a rabbit hole: the ten Perfecto cigars find their place in interconnected divisions.

To highlight the Limited Edition and offer gift-givers and collectors a wider choice of products, Davidoff is launching a range of accessories in the Year of the Rabbit design.

The Year of the Rabbit ashtray in its elegant shape generously provides space for two cigars and their ashes. The 450 numbered copies were made in France from fine porcelain.

Made in Germany, the Year of the Rabbit Cutter ensures a precise cut with its razor-sharp double blades. The serial number of all 370 pieces is finely engraved into the high-quality palladium.

For pipe lovers Davidoff brings out an elegant pipe, which for the first time also includes a case in the Year of the Rabbit design. The high-quality briar wood and the handsome case make the pipe a discreetly noble, yet strikingly special accessory. Each of the 170 available copies is numbered and was made by hand in Italy.

The Year of the Rabbit pipe tobacco comes in a stylish, red lacquered tin and delights with typical Asian notes. The blend comes up with Virginia tobacco from India and China, and with Burley tobacco from Malawi and creates aromas of jasmine, lemon and vanilla. There are 5 400 tins available worldwide.

Masterpiece Humidor & Flagship Exclusive - a special Gran Toro for collectors

The Year of the Rabbit Masterpiece Humidor is the most precious of all Davidoff products around this sign of the zodiac and the epitome of elegance. It was handcrafted in France. As for previous Masterpieces, Davidoff has collaborated with the French artist Rose Saneuil.

Using her unique technique of multi-material marquetry, she crafted the Year of the Rabbit symbol on the lid of the handmade humidor. The high quality wood features the Year of the Rabbit pattern on the outside. Each of the 25 available humidors is stocked with 88 Gran Toro cigars.

The Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Flagship Exclusive is the brand's first "Year of" edition, available exclusively at Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 Flagship stores.
