Davidoff Boutique Selection: Three blends for three flagship stores
On 1 September 2026*, Davidoff is launching the Boutique Selection with three different Toro blends. Each variant is associated with a flagship store in Geneva, Hong Kong or New York’s Madison Avenue and is available exclusively at the respective location. In this way, the manufacturer combines different tobacco blends with location-specific distribution.

The three Toro sizes from the Davidoff Boutique Selection for the flagship stores in Geneva (cigar strength 4/5), Hong Kong (3/5) and New York Madison (4/5).
Three blends for three locations
The Boutique Selection is not a single cigar sold in multiple locations. Davidoff has created a unique blend for each of its three flagship stores. According to the company, sales advisers from the respective stores were involved in the development process.
All variants have the same dimensions. Differences lie in the composition of the filler, binder and wrapper, as well as in the strength specified by the manufacturer. The press release does not contain any specific details regarding tobacco varieties, harvest years, fermentation or ageing periods.
«The Boutique Selection embodies something we at Davidoff have long believed in: that true luxury is personal,» says Javier González, SVP Head of Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff. «The cigars are an expression of a place, of expertise and of the exceptional relationships we cultivate with our flagship store customers. Each blend bears the hallmark of its location – with the precision and passion that Davidoff aficionados have come to expect.»
Packaged in boxes of ten
Each wooden box contains ten cigars. Inside the box, these are packed together in a bundle. In doing so, Davidoff is drawing on a method that is also used at the factory for the storage and transport of freshly produced cigars. The packaging bears a label identifying the respective Boutique Blend and a reference to the batch-by-batch production.

What's new?
The main new feature is the combination of three proprietary blends, each linked to a specific point of sale. Customers cannot purchase the Geneva, Hong Kong or New York versions as standard in any other flagship store. Another new feature is the permanent product line, organised in batches. Davidoff is thus combining a fundamentally ongoing series with limited production runs. The Toro format, on the other hand, is not a new cigar shape. All three versions measure 6 inches with a ring gauge of 54.
Why is this interesting?
The standardised vitola provides a comparable structural basis. Length and ring gauge influence, amongst other things, the ratio between the filler and the wrapper, as well as the rate at which a cigar burns. As these key parameters are the same for all three variants, differences within the range are mainly due to the tobacco blend.
This is particularly evident in the wrapper. Genève and Hong Kong use an Ecuadorian wrapper, whereas New York Madison uses a Dominican one. The fillers also differ in terms of the number of terroirs mentioned in the Dominican Republic and, in the case of the New York variant, in terms of the explicitly mentioned leaf positions ‘Seco’ and ‘Visus’.
The term ‘terroir’ refers to the influence of a growing location on the tobacco. This includes soil, climate, rainfall and agricultural practices. Although the press release mentions several Dominican terroirs, it does not name any specific regions or plots. It is therefore not possible to assess, based on the information published, to what extent the origin of the individual tobaccos has an impact. A review by Zigarren.Zone will not be possible due to availability issues in the various flagship stores.
