The Pacific Cigar Co. Ltd. and Infifon HK, the sole distributors of Habanos, S.A., presented Cohiba Siglo de Oro at an event held simultaneously in several Asian countries.
The Cohiba Siglo de Oro Year Of The Rabbit will be the first whose cigar boxes are equipped with NFC technology, which allows cigar lovers to check the authenticity of the product and obtain further information about the product.

On the occasion of the celebration of the Chinese Year of the Rabbit, Habanos, S.A. presented the new Cohiba Siglo de Oro Vitola (54 x 115 mm), a new product of the Cohiba brand, the most prestigious in the world of Habanos. The leading premium tobacco company not only wanted to celebrate the start of the new year, but also to honour the 30th anniversary of Linea 1492, one of the most successful Cohiba cigars, with the selected Vitola - Siglo de Oro.
The launch of the new Cohiba cigar took place at an exclusive event held simultaneously in several of the most important Asian markets and organised by The Pacific Cigar Co, the exclusive distributor of Habanos, S.A. in the Asia Pacific region, and Infifon HK, the exclusive distributor of Habanos, S.A. for mainland China. The events took place in Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. The latter was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel under the watchful eyes of 120 guests, including Denisse Llamos Infante, Cuba's consul in Guangdong, China.
Limited edition
The new product from the renowned tobacco company is being produced in a limited edition, meaning that only a select few will be able to enjoy this unique vitola. The Cohiba Siglo de Oro is presented in a special cigar box containing 18 Habanos, which were made entirely by hand after careful selection of the wrapper, filler and binder from the most prestigious Vuelta Abajo area in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba.
However, the limited production quantity and the 30th anniversary of the Linea 1492 from Cohiba are not the only aspects that make this vitola unique.

That's why we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce a vitola as special as the Cohiba Siglo de Oro and showcase the incorporation of NFC technology to make the brand experience even more complete for cigar lovers," Habanos, S.A. stated.
