Battle of the giants: CAMACHO Broadleaf vs. Corojo - A fight with a technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, cigar fans and connoisseurs - welcome to the ultimate battle of the rings! Today, two absolute powerhouses from the Camacho corner face each other: Broadleaf vs. Corojo! Both a GORDO - big and powerful. Two legends who smash the tobacco shreds around each other's ears with aromas, power and character. But hopefully there will be a winner this time. I tested three of each line! (...now I'm "knocked out" for now) 🥵
Review of the first battle
The CAMACHO Corojo has already had one title fight, against the CAMACHO Ecuador. Back then, both cigars won, see here.

Of course, I didn't taste 3 cigars per line at the same time, but on different days. For the photos, the two cigars were allowed to slip into their combat gear once again and into the make-up studio.
Round 1: The first impression - Who has the stronger jab?
Both opponents enter the ring with confidence. The Corojo cigar comes across with its typical spicy dominance - although it seems a little shy in the first few seconds. And the Broadleaf cigar? It is not impressed. It takes advantage of this, of course, and immediately counters with a dark, sweetish force that makes it immediately dangerous.
Point to Broadleafbecause its sweetish power elegantly balances out the too shy attacks of the Corojo.
What is a "jab"?
The Jab is a term from boxing and refers to a fast, straight punch with the lead hand (i.e. the hand that is further forward). It is used to maintain distance, control the opponent and initiate combinations.
In my cigar battle, the Jab i.e. the first impression the cigar leaves behind - the "opening blow" of the flavor profile, so to speak. 💥🔥
BATTLE VIDEO

The tension increases from round to round! Sometimes the Broadleaf is ahead, sometimes it's the Corojo!
Round 2: The power of flavors - who hits harder?
Now it's getting serious! The Corojo is now moving forward with confidence - leather, earth, spices and a concentrated load of power. She's determined to win this time - she's powerful and fast! But Broadleaf has a stout defense. Its sweetness remains constant, but is supported by coffee, dark chocolate and subtle roasted aromas. This is a real storm of flavors!
Point to Corojobecause it develops its surprising depth and convinces not only with power but also with clever playing.
Round 3: The balance - who can hold out longer?
In the middle of the fight, it becomes clear who has the better reserves. Corojo remains strong, but loses a little of its speed and once again has a touch less self-confidence - but the pepper notes and the spice keep pushing themselves to the fore and it remains well in the fight. Broadleaf, on the other hand, remains supple, structured and profound - it dances on its legs super-fast and gives the Corojo one jab after another. The balance tips very narrowly in favor of the dark titan.
Point to Broadleafbecause she is more self-confident and pulls off incredible jabs!

Now the Broadleaf is back in front. But the Corojo is brave and won't give up!
Round 4: The final - Who will go down?
Now it's time for the knock-out! Or is it? The Corojo gives everything - goes into the infight once again - its distinctive spiciness explodes, but Broadleaf has perfected its cover. Instead of being overwhelmed by the Corojo's power, it counters with dark sweetness and a buttery-soft smoke structure. The power doesn't quite run out, but the will to knock it out is missing a little.
And now comes Corojo again! It pushes forward, fast and straightforward with refined power, wood, earth and coffee beans - BÄMM-BÄMM - one elegant jab after the other. The Broadleaf staggers - oh my gracious cigar gods - does the Corojo win by knockout this time?
The events are coming thick and fast! The Broadleaf comes back with 6 blatant jabs, full width into the Corojo: pepper, peat, strength, even more pepper and wood with a refined sweetness - BOOM-BOOM! But the Corojo holds against it, it suddenly becomes a little deeper and darker, its willpower remains at a high level, something fruity suddenly comes out (where does that come from?), pepper, deep peat...!!!
Two Points go to COROJO!
Not a knock-out, but a technical knockout for COROJO - a two-point lead finally brings her a well-deserved victory!
Conclusion: Why Corojo wins, but the Broadleaf put up a fantastic fight
The Corojo has its legendary punch, is a touch more versatile, has the more powerful jabs, no question about it. It is direct, spicy and full of character. But the Broadleaf is refined and, above all, stable over the rounds. Its dark notes, harmonious balance and superb smoke development make it a deserved runner-up in this battle. But only just.
🥊 Final result: CAMACHO Corojo wins through technical knockout. with a two-point lead! 🥊
