Three novelties, three worlds: Matthieu Rebjock on Davidoff, Macanudo and CAO
I am here at the stand of Oettinger-Davidoff, where Matthieu Rebjock receives. Friendly, calm, but full of enthusiasm for what he is presenting. His eyes light up and he shows me three new products that could hardly be more different but all have one thing in common - a genuine passion for cigars.

10 years Feria del Tabaco - pleasure meets passion
A unique in-house exhibition in Zurich: MANUEL'S brings together cigar importers, manufacturers and aficionados for an enjoyable meeting of a special kind. For ten years now, the Feria del Tabaco cigar lovers come together in Zurich. What once began as a small in-house exhibition is now a fixed date in the calendar of the Swiss cigar scene. Numerous importers present their exclusive cigars, accessories and new products. For two days, the city is transformed into MANUEL'S into a lively forum of enjoyment: talks, tastings, innovations and encounters - all centred around the cigar. An anniversary that is not only celebrated, but savoured.

Saka Sin Compromiso Torpedo - uncompromising enjoyment
„I have the honour of presenting three exciting new products today,“ begins Matthieu. The first: Saka Sin Compromiso, A typical Nicaraguan format - medium-bodied and full of flavour. „Very nice draw, very aromatic - a cigar that is simply fun,“ says Matthieu. The torpedo format is not only visually elegant, but also has an excellent flavour: it concentrates the aromas and ensures a medium-bodied flow of smoke.
CAO Amazon Basin - the return of a rarity
The second novelty is a classic that rarely appears: CAO Amazon Basin. „A very beautiful cigar that is only produced every three years,“ explains Matthieu. The tobacco comes from the Amazon region of Brazil - fermented, wrapped and rolled in the traditional way. „It always sells out immediately because it has something completely unique - a deep, almost earthy flavour that is hard to compare.“
Macanudo Emissary España - Tobacco from Europe
Then comes the surprise of the day: Macanudo Emissary España. „This is something very special,“ says Matthieu. „The tobacco is Matured for ten years - and comes from Spain.“ Spanish tobacco is an absolute rarity in the world of cigars. «This is a new project from Macanudo - every year a cigar will be released with tobacco from a European country. This year it's Spain, next year... I can't tell you yet.“ He smiles mischievously. „And it remains exciting.“
Always new moments of pleasure
What else would Matthieu like to pass on to readers? „At Oettinger-Davidoff, we have exciting new products every year. It's simply great fun for us to be able to present these cigars on the Swiss market.“
