Davidoff Cigars is once again bringing back an iconic cigar from the past: the Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection.

For the second time this year, Davidoff Cigars is repeating cigar history and surprising its loyal aficionados with a limited edition of an iconic White Band Collection cigar from its past. As part of the fascinating «The Difference» campaign, the brand is launching the Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection, which is a reissue of the former Millennium Blend Lancero.

The world's leading manufacturer of handmade premium cigars expects the re-release to bring joy to many: «At the time, the Millennium Blend Lancero was known as the the cigar to savour the special 151 wrapper of the blend to the fullest,» says Edward Simon, CMO of Oettinger Davidoff AG. «Today, the returning limited edition cigar epitomises our relentless pursuit of perfection.

Our master agronomists made 300 attempts to create the special hybrid seed for the Ecuadorian wrapper leaf before they were satisfied. In addition, the pigtail cap of the cigar requires impeccable rolling, so only our most experienced torcedores are involved. I am convinced that the relaunch will please many aficionados. Whether they are lovers of the Lancero format and the highest level of craftsmanship, collectors who already enjoy the Millennium blend in other formats or connoisseurs with an experienced palate - this masterpiece will fill their time nicely.»

Flavour experience Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection

The elegantly long cigar spoils aficionados with a medium-intensity flavour lasting 35 to 45 minutes. With its wrapper from Mexico, four different Dominican filler tobaccos and the special 151 wrapper, the Lancero with its 40 ring gauge presents an intense yet refined flavour journey. At the beginning, bold notes of oak and coffee accompany the flavours of sweet plums. As the cigar progresses, dark chocolate and intense flavours of almonds and white pepper complement each other. As the Lancero approaches its grand finale, white pepper and liquorice meet pronounced aromas of peat.

The White Band is The Difference

The Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection is the second of a total of four limited releases from the brand as part of the «Cigar History Repeated» concept, which in turn is an integral part of The Difference.

The campaign aims to surprise Davidoff's loyal aficionados with interesting and detailed insights into the unique cigar manufacturing process. The communication emphasises the White Band Collection with its multiple award-winning Signature, Grand Cru, Aniversario and Millennium lines. Using exciting facts and appealing visual material, it offers fascinating insights behind the scenes of Davidoff's extraordinary endeavours to excel from the first seed to the last puff.

Market launch & availability

From 6 April 2023*, the Davidoff Millennium Lancero Limited Edition Collection will be available worldwide from Davidoff authorised dealers and in Davidoff flagship stores.
