From zero to Zino - a state of emergency in La Côte

Organised by La Couronne House of Luxury SA and Oettinger Davidoff Basel, the Domaine Z vineyard in the picturesque La Côte region (near Nyon) was unceremoniously declared a Zino Zone. And what went on there was no cigar tasting. It was a damn party. A festival. A state of emergency for all the senses.

The aroma of freshly grilled burgers floated through the air as soon as we arrived, accompanied by the gentle slurp of freshly tapped beer from the ZINO event trailer. The Grimbergen beer flowed in streams, while the flames of the lit Zino Nicaragua cigars glowed everywhere. The evening's soundtrack came from the DJ, who managed to combine sensitive lounge beats with danceable rhythms - and at some point there was no stopping the party anyway. People danced, laughed and puffed away like there was no tomorrow.

Zino amusement park for adults

The guests - 120 aficionados from all corners of pleasure - strolled through an adventure paradise that doesn't really deserve the name „event“. It was a Zino amusement park for adults. Anyone who wanted to could aim for honour at darts or work up a serious sweat playing table football during the smoke break. The tattoo stadium offered temporary Zino artwork for the skin - and anyone who still had energy left could have a prize conjured out of their sleeve at the wheel of fortune. Speaking of which: the Zino goody bags were not just any promotional material, but full to the brim with cool surprises - true to the motto: if you're going to do it, do it right.

Zino in 360 degrees - and a glass in your hand

The evening was a symphony of smoke, flavour and electrifying atmosphere. The 360° video wall was mesmerising, a real showstopper, while people posed at the photo wall as if they were on the red carpet. And then there was the wine - oh that wine! Served by the host himself, harmoniously matched to the cigar, a real treat in every glass. Those who preferred high-proof spirits soon found themselves in the rum stadium, where the fine drops from Trésors du Chai - EspritVin distribution Sàrl provided a cosy warmth in the belly.

Live Life from A to Z - until the DJ gives up

The plan was to finish at 11 pm. Well thought out. But anyone who was there that night knew that no one would leave as long as the last embers were still glowing and the DJ was still dropping beats. The music only stopped shortly after midnight - with a lot of persuasion. But even then, groups of people were still standing together, cigar in one hand, rum in the other, and nobody really wanted to leave.

Zino says: „Live Life from A to Z“ - and this evening was living proof that you can not only print this slogan on cigar boxes, but also live it out into the night. It was wild. It was stylish. It was unforgettable.
