Villiger San Doro Colorado Claro Toro Tasting
Villiger San Doro is a long-filler cigar of outstanding quality. I tested the Toro from the Colorado Claro line. I don't like light-coloured (Connecticut) wrapper leaves because they are too bitter and too acidic for me. But the wrapper leaves of the San'Doro Colorado Claro come from Ecuador. I love these wrapper leaves. To put it mildly, they are fantastic for my senses. The correct spelling is San'Doro (but SEO doesn't recognise this very well). ?

Personal impressions of the pleasure

First half
- Tongue, palate: Nutty / woody / great cocoa notes (dark chocolate) / slightly acidic
- Retronasalslightly peppery / lots of wood and a hint of leather
- R+ ZiZo vacuum technology: A marvellous load of burning wood and lots of nuts
- Umami: slightly astringent and juicy at the same time (who knows how that works) / slightly roasted
- Strength 2/5
Second half
- She gets the strength 3/5
- More wood and more nutty / super slightly sweet / more full-bodied
Conclusion
The Villiger San Doro Colorado Claro is an uncomplicated cigar. It smoulders long and straight. The wrapper leaf is a feast for the eyes with its light colour and super-thin veins. The typical flavour of this Ecuador wrapper leaf always fascinates me. The delicately bitter flavour is somehow mixed with nut and wood - really great.
The strength is 2/5 at the beginning and comes to 3/5 from about the second half onwards, making it a full-bodied and flavourful pleasure. It is not very complex and that is not its claim. It is somehow clearly structured, like a perfectly organised office where everything has its place. Haha - what a juudoo comparison? Marvellous, simply marvellous!
