Welcome to the latest edition of FlashCigar Special. This time it's all about the legendary Bar & Lounges team at The Chedi Andermatt Switzerland. I have visited many places and met many people, but the team at The Chedi Andermatt is really something special. And the range of cigars is legendary!
The competent and friendly service as well as the selection of the best cigars are known far beyond the borders of Switzerland. Every guest senses the team's pleasure in being hosts. It is this unique atmosphere, the excellent gastronomy, the service and the cigars that make a visit to The Chedi Andermatt unforgettable. I conducted three interviews for this issue. I hope you are as enthusiastic about this extraordinary place and its people as I am.

About The Chedi Andermatt and the legendary cigar service
The Chedi Andermatt is a five-star luxury hotel in Andermatt, a municipality in the Swiss Alps. It offers its guests a wellness area, restaurants, bars and direct access to the ski slopes in winter. The hotel is known for its luxurious interior with exclusive elements such as wood, stone and leather. Gold and diamonds are not to be found in the furnishings. The high quality of service and catering as well as the legendary cigar service are often referred to by guests as „Chedi Moments“. Tim-Martin Weber (Executive Assistant Manager) says: “We are cigar freaks!”
He has managed to turn the cigars at The Chedi Andermatt into a USP (Unique Selling Proposition). “We do something here that no other hotel does! Either we do it right or we don't. We decided in favour of the former.” When Tim-Martin Weber took over as EAM, the cigars at the Chedi Andermatt were in a desolate state. Nobody cared about them. Condensation was running down the walls of the walk-in humidor. “I almost cried when I saw it,” he says. “I came up with a crazy concept and got the green light from the management.”
There are now almost 1,000 different cigars at standard retail prices, with no hotel surcharge. All Edicionas Limitadas, all Reservas & Gran Reservas, right up to the oldest cigar, which dates back to 1885, are in stock here.
