Private Smoke - when we gave up our mobile phones and time was suddenly a luxury again

On Saturday, 07 February 2026, a special event was held in the headquarters lounge of Zigarren.Zone. Private Smoke The way I want it to be: two guests, lots of time and no distractions.

Upon arrival, both participants handed over their mobile phones. From that moment on, it was clear that this afternoon did not belong to the outside world, but to conversation, enjoyment and cigars. For four hours, the only thing that mattered was what happened at the table.

The two of them each chose two cigars free from the large Nüesch humidors. Without time pressure, without specifications. Cuba or non-Cuba didn't matter - only the personal moment was decisive. We compared, enquired, tried things out and sometimes changed our plans. Just as it should be.

The smoke was accompanied by Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2012, complemented by rum or whisky, with Cuban coffee, water, Coke Zero and small Häpplis. Everything served with restraint, nothing pushed itself to the fore.

What made this afternoon special was the peace and quiet. No programme, no schedule. Conversations developed organically, breaks came naturally. One of the guests said quietly at some point:

„I haven't smoked a cigar this relaxed in a long time.“

The other later put it in a nutshell:

„It's only here that you realise how much your mobile phone is always with you.“
