Oettinger Davidoff expands the manufactory in the Dominican Republic

Basel (Switzerland), Villa González (Dominican Republic) - February 19, 2025: Oettinger Davidoff, the world's leading manufacturer of handcrafted premium cigars, celebrated the inauguration of new buildings and facilities in Villa González. The expansion is in response to the increasing demand for premium cigars, especially the Davidoff brand.

Beat Hauenstein, CEO, explains: "This expansion is a milestone in our 150-year history and reflects our strong growth. The investment as part of our "Crop to Shop" philosophy enables us to double our annual production and continue to guarantee the highest quality."

The expansion includes a 1,700 m² blending center, expanded production halls, larger tobacco warehouses in Jicomé, a new entrance with direct freeway access and a cafeteria for the 1,200 employees.

Hamlet Espinal, General Manager of Tabadom Holding, emphasizes: "The inauguration of these facilities is a key moment in my career. Our experts, cigar rollers and master blenders work tirelessly to delight aficionados worldwide with innovative taste experiences."

The opening ceremony took place in the company of invited guests and was rounded off in the spirit of the Davidoff philosophy "time beautifully filled".
