2025 is the year of the snake, a sign of the zodiac that symbolises elegance and balance. Aficionados born in the year of the snake are considered empathetic and loyal companions. They appear graceful and elegant on the outside. At the same time, they are passionate and full of energy. As in 2013, the snake heralds a new cycle of limited editions in 2025. These editions are dedicated to the Chinese zodiac.

Davidoff Year of the Snake Limited Edition 2025 Lancero cigar

When enjoying this cigar, the flavours unfold dynamically and change direction. At the same time, they retain the typical Davidoff balance. Although Davidoff has created Lancero cigars before, this edition offers a unique flavour experience. The flavours of the Lancero cigar are unusual for the brand.

Fresh notes of lemon, leather and coffee enrich the flavour experience. The Dominican San Vicente and Mexican Negro San Andres tobacco provide lemony notes. Both tobaccos stimulate acidic and savoury areas of the palate without being overpowering. The blend is unique due to its flavour and tobacco innovation.

For the first time, Davidoff is using the Dominican hybrid seed 98 from Martin Garcia. This tobacco imparts sweet and creamy notes. The wrapper and binder come from Ecuador and ensure balance.

Flagship Exclusive Toro cigar

There is an exclusive Toro cigar for the Davidoff of Geneva flagship stores. This Year of the Snake Flagship Exclusive Edition offers a special experience. The 24 Toro cigars offer a similar flavour experience to the Lancero. This edition is limited to 600 boxes worldwide and is only available in the flagship stores.

Masterpiece humidor with Gran Toro cigars

The Year of the Snake Masterpiece Humidor is the most valuable piece in the collection. The lid shows a snake protecting tobacco leaves. These come from the Year of the Snake blend. The Chinese illustrator Feifei Chen designed the snake motif. The French artist Mariane Léger realised it with 326 individual parts. The humidor contains 88 Gran Toro cigars rolled with the special blend. The number 88 is considered a lucky number in China and symbolises prosperity.

Trend-setting packaging design

Each edition takes a creative approach that picks up on the signs of the zodiac in the design. The new cycle now brings a major change. Davidoff reduces materials that are difficult to recycle and promotes sustainability. The Limited Edition and Flagship Exclusive appear in elegant wooden boxes. Aficionados can view the cigars through a wooden frame. The cigars have a second band in red and yellow. Red and yellow are considered lucky colours in Chinese culture. These colours are said to bring luck and prosperity.

Accessories Gift Set

The Davidoff Year of the Snake Accessories Gift Set is the perfect gift for aficionados. It contains a fine porcelain ashtray, a cigar case and a Punch Cutter Duocut. All items feature the Year of the Snake design. A snake pop-up display appears when the box is opened. This allows aficionados to present the set openly. The collector's coin in the set can be used as a cigar holder. The accessories are limited to 500 sets.

Market launch & availability

The Year of the Snake editions will be available from 14 November 2024. They are available from Davidoff authorised dealers and flagship stores worldwide. Launch dates may vary by country.
