For the eleventh time, Davidoff has created a limited edition to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Limited Edition 2023 delights aficionados and collectors worldwide with Davidoff's largest selection to date of products centred around a Chinese zodiac sign.

To delight those born in the Year of the Rabbit in particular, the brand is launching a limited-edition cigar in the Perfecto format, which combines seven different types of tobacco. Aficionados can also look forward to a pipe, pipe tobacco, an ashtray, a cutter, a Masterpiece humidor and a further, strictly limited and only in Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 The Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Flagship Exclusive is the first Gran Toro cigar to be available in a flagship store.

Davidoff Year of the Rabbit Limited Edition 2023 Perfecto cigar

Davidoff has opted for a perfecto format for the interpretation of this zodiac sign, as it is reminiscent of the ears of a hare. The multi-layered blend with its slowly revealing complexity also perfectly reflects the personality of the hare.

Davidoff Year Of The Rabbit 2023 — An elegant format.

This is due to the conical shape of the cigar. Seven different tobaccos, including filler tobaccos with an average age of 4.5 years, come together and invite aficionados to discover the complexity of the cigar layer by layer.

Initially a little restrained, the expertly rolled Perfecto delights with peppery notes, which are soon joined by notes of leather. This is where the true complexity of the cigar unfolds. The intensity increases slightly towards the end without ever overwhelming the palate. A cocoa sweetness concludes this pleasant flavour experience.

The ten Perfecto cigars come in a smart box inspired by the character of the rabbit. The design of the lacquered exterior is understated and elegant and does not yet reveal the depths of what is hidden inside.

The lid features the Year of the Rabbit symbol and the visibly emphasised Year of the Rabbit pattern, which imitates the gentle and constant hopping of a rabbit. The inside of the box looks like a rabbit's burrow: the ten Perfecto cigars are stored in interconnected compartments.

Accessories for aficionados born in the Year of the Rabbit

To emphasise the limited edition and offer gift-givers and collectors a wider choice of products, Davidoff is launching a range of accessories in the Year of the Rabbit design.

The Year of the Rabbit ashtray in its elegant shape offers generous space for two cigars and their ashes. The 450 numbered pieces were made in France from fine porcelain.

The Year of the Rabbit Cutter, manufactured in Germany, ensures a precise cut with its razor-sharp double blades. The serial number of all 370 pieces is finely engraved in the high-quality palladium.

Tobacco pipe and pipe tobacco

Davidoff is launching an elegant pipe for pipe lovers, which for the first time includes a case in the Year of the Rabbit design. The high-quality briar wood and the handsome case make the pipe a discreetly elegant, yet strikingly special accessory. Each of the 170 available pieces is numbered and handmade in Italy.

The Year of the Rabbit pipe tobacco comes in a stylish, red lacquered tin and delights with typical Asian flavours. The blend features Virginia tobacco from India and China and Burley tobacco from Malawi, creating flavours of jasmine, lemon and vanilla. There are 5,400 tins available worldwide.

Masterpiece Humidor & Flagship Exclusive - a special Gran Toro for collectors

The Year of the Rabbit Masterpiece Humidor is the most valuable of all Davidoff products centred around this sign of the zodiac and the epitome of elegance. It was made by hand in France. As with previous Masterpieces, Davidoff has collaborated with the French artist Rose Saneuil.

Using her unique technique of multi-material marquetry, she created the Year of the Rabbit symbol on the lid of the handmade humidor. The high-quality wood shows the Year of the Rabbit pattern on the outside. Each of the 25 humidors available is stocked with 88 Gran Toro cigars.
