CAPITOL Casino cigars. I had the pleasure of testing three examples of this Gran Robusto (Casino) and would like to share my impressions with you. I immediately noticed the tip of the cigar cap. May I dare to write that it reminded me strongly of the Cohiba Behike. 😅 That looks very classy. And to be honest: I think this „Gatsby stuff“ is just incredibly cool! The quality of the Capitol CASINO (Gran Robusto)

I am excited!

The first thing you notice is the silky wrapper of the cigar. The cigar was evenly rolled, although the dark tobacco was slightly rolled to one side on two of the cigars. Fortunately, this did not lead to any problems with the glow.

The colour of the wrapper leaf is medium brown, tending to be slightly lighter. The cold draw was sweet and warm and extremely interesting, which already indicated a promising smoking experience.

The first five minutes of Capitol Casino cigars

The first five minutes of smoking were a little unusual, as lighting up took a little longer than usual. However, the draw resistance was optimal and the burn was even. The strength of the cigar was light to medium and the flavour was very pleasant. The intensity of the flavour when smoked retronasally and using the ZiZo R+ technique is particularly noteworthy.

The first half

The ash lasts until the second half. After that, it breaks off more quickly.

In the first half of the smoking experience, the aftertaste was pleasant, but not overly intense on the tongue. However, when smoked retronasally and using the ZiZo R+ technique, it was all the more intense. The aroma (the smell of the smoke) was spicy and slightly hot, the flavour slightly grassy, nutty, peppery when using the ZiZo R+ technique, with a hint of bittersweet cocoa and a slight woody note as well as a subtle acidity.

The second half of the Capitol Casino cigars harbours a surprise

In the second half of the smoking experience, a pleasant sweetness suddenly came to the fore, accompanied by clear notes of coffee beans. The enjoyment increased continuously and the cigar proved to be uncomplicated in its smoking behaviour. The overall strength can be described as medium, maximum 3/5.

I recommend acclimatising the CAPITOL Casino for at least 10 days with cellophane in the humidor. This makes the cigar even smoother and offers an even richer smoking experience.

The CAPITOL Casino is a cigar that is definitely worth a try. It may seem a little „hard“ at first smoke, but after a short acclimatisation period it develops into a pleasant pleasure that pampers the taste buds.

And again, quite honestly: I think this „Gatsby stuff“ is just incredibly cool!
