AVO LE 2023 launches four series

AVO LE 2023, but the correct name for the series is „Seasons Limited Edition Series 2023“. As part of the AVO Limited Edition Series 2023, the brand is releasing four limited edition cigars throughout the year. Each of the unique Diademas perfectly captures the mood of one of the four seasons with tobacco and blend. The SOMMER line will be launched in Switzerland on 1 June 2023.

«This special release has been created with the greatest care by our master blenders, who have worked with tobaccos from a wide variety of origins to create perfect seasonal blends. Each cigar contains tobaccos from diverse growing regions such as Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. Some of the tobaccos have been aged for up to 14 years,» says Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff. «We want to inspire our aficionados to accompany a unique moment of the season with the respective cigar: A beautiful spring walk through a garden, a sunset in summer, when the leaves start to fall from the trees in autumn and the air gets colder, or in front of a crackling fire in winter.».

Four releases spread over the year

All four editions are presented in boxes containing ten cigars each. The packaging design reflects each season individually with corresponding symbols, applied patterns, colours and graphics typical of the year. The boxes as a whole illustrate the course of an entire year with visually linked patterns and themes.

The respective blends of the cigars were created from different tobaccos in order to capture every season with a suitable flavour experience. All four editions contain Diadema cigars of medium intensity measuring 2.0 x 16.8 cm - 50 RG x 6 5/8″.

Spring: The AVO LE 2023

The Limited Edition, which is dedicated to the first few months of the year, marks the start of the series. Diadema perfectly captures the optimism that comes with a new start. The scent of spring is imitated by the floral notes of the well-matured Dominican San Vicente Seco tobaccos and the Hybrid-192 Visus tobaccos. One of the special filler tobaccos was even allowed to mature for a whole 14 years. The light Ecuador-Corojo wrapper provides a penetrating sweetness and reflects the bright colours and the mood of the season with balanced aromas of wood, cream and coffee.

Summer: Seasons Limited Edition Series 2023

The cigar, inspired by summer, is reminiscent of the warm sun typical of the season. The Diadema is lively and its intensity reflects the omnipresent heat. The oily Ecuador-Corojo wrapper leaf gives it complexity and at the same time pleasant peppery notes. The Dominican filler tobaccos, some of which have been matured for 14 years, indulge with creamy and fruity notes. In the second third, flavours of dark chocolate enrich the overall taste experience.

Autumn: Another AVO LE 2023

Autumn brings a pleasant and refreshing change in temperatures. The fields change colour and the days get shorter. It's time to look back on the year and to follow traditions. The combination of the San Andres Maduro wrapper and the Dominican filler tobaccos, which have been matured for up to 14 years, creates complex notes of dried fruit, nuts and sweet spice. A rich creaminess underpins this flavour journey.

Winter: Another Seasons Limited Edition Series 2023

Winter is the time of year when everything slows down and you can enjoy cosy conviviality. A crackling open fire, a warming drink and this wonderful cigar are the perfect combination for cosy moments at the end of the year. The Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper is as light as untouched snow and has been blended with Dominican filler tobaccos that are up to 14 years old. The blend delivers notes of herbs and wood with a wonderful creaminess and gentle baking spice.
