The beginnings of Davidoff's ultra-premium line
The latest announcement may bring back memories of an earlier Oro Blanco cigar launch in 2014. Back then, Davidoff's first creation of such unparalleled exclusivity received top accolades and endorsements worldwide, including 94 points from the renowned US cigar blog "Halfwheel", which also named it "Cigar of the Year 2014". As the last batch of this special cigar is already on the market and will soon be sold out, Davidoff today presents the new Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years, introducing "Oro Blanco" as its special release line for luxury cigars at the highest level.

Rarity redefined - the Davidoff Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years
To present aficionados with an unprecedented ultra-premium product that fills their time more beautifully and luxuriously than any cigar before, the Davidoff Master Blenders have opened their treasure troves of the oldest and most valuable exclusive vintage tobaccos to create the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years. The blend of the Dominican puro is made up of well-matured tobaccos from five different terroirs. "In the Dominican Republic alone, we cultivate 15 terroirs because this allows us to offer our aficionados cigars with very different and unique flavor profiles. Each of these terroirs produces tobaccos with individual characteristics in terms of texture, intensity and taste," explains Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff.

"The blend of our new Oro Blanco consists of our finest and best matured tobaccos in the industry. The binder and all the filler tobaccos are each at least 17 years old, including a tobacco that we have never used in a Davidoff cigar and which was grown in an area that we no longer farm. All the tobaccos together have an impressive age of 111 years and the cigar is only rolled by our Master Roller Supervisors with at least 20 years' experience. After that, it is only released when our Master Blenders declare it ready for consumption. I am proud to call the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years our rarest cigar to date, offering aficionados the ultimate indulgence and appealing to collectors of ultra-premium creations," concludes Simon.

Taste experience
The exquisite blend in the elegant Toro format allows aficionados to enjoy a 70 to 90-minute experience and delights with entertaining changes in flavor and a complexity that is second to none. This is thanks to the remarkable age of the tobaccos, which bring out the aromas perfectly.

Toro dimensions: 54 RG x 6" / Ø 2.2 cm x 15.2 cm / Intensity: 3 out of 5
The medium-intensity cigar begins with notes of caramel and wood. Subtle citrus notes balance out the sweetness and are complemented by a delicious creaminess. As the Toro progresses, it takes on a more fruity character, paired with aromas of leather and roasted nuts, while retaining its initial creaminess. In the final third, the persistent creaminess is combined with notes of dark chocolate, while the initial aromas of dried fruit also remain present. Thus ends this full-bodied and dynamic masterpiece with its ever-changing flavors.

Luxurious presentation
The noble character of the Toro is emphasized by its presentation: Each cigar is decorated with two tasteful Oro Blanco bands with silver elements. To reflect this luxury on the outside, Davidoff has set new standards in packaging design. The Oro Blanco Special Release 111 Years is available in an elegant solid wood box containing one or ten cigars, whose striking grain is reminiscent of the structure of a tobacco leaf and whose Oro Blanco logo on the box is inspired by the rays of the sun. Due to its larger size, the box of ten has some additional features such as a metal plate with the Davidoff logo, a smooth-running push-and-click system and a metal plate that can be personalized.
