Year-end meeting of the Cigar Club Sonne Sissach: embers, pleasure and cellar worlds

26 participants met at the Sonne Sissach restaurant, with a small magic garden outside on the forecourt: Christmas music in the air, aperitif in hand, plus a fireplace that not only warms you up, but also immediately triggers the feeling that nobody needs to rush into anything today. One step slower, one more smile - and you're already at the right pace.

From the magic of Christmas straight into the world of cellars

After the aperitif, we went down into the famous cellar worlds of the Sonne Sissach - into the two rooms of the Cigar Club. And yes: cellars can be many things. Here it is one thing above all: a privilege.

Two worlds side by side:

The cigar lounge - exclusively for members

Looking back: Oops, that's me; the grandiose event „Quai D'Orsay Limited Edition 2019“.

One room is the cigar lounge and clearly the home of the members. A place that doesn't have to be loud to make an impression. Anyone who sits here knows that this is not „just any room“ - this is a club feeling that cannot be copied.

The second room - newly furnished and available for hire for parties

The second room is brand new. This room can also be booked for events outside the club.

Right next door is the second room, which can also be hired for parties. It has recently been completely refurbished - and you immediately realise that it hasn't just been „spruced up“, it has been rethought. Stylish, fresh, inviting.

And the most important thing for all those who really want to enjoy cigars: Excellent ventilation is guaranteed in both rooms. You can let your cigar enjoyment run its course - without compromise, without excuses, without „yes, we'll air it out later“.

Culinary delights? As always: far above regional level

And then the food. As always: an excellent menu. The quality of these club events has long been recognised beyond the region - and that's exactly the point: you don't just come „to smoke“. You come because the whole evening is just right. The food, atmosphere, people, programme - everything is at a level that is not achieved by chance. The team of owners Michele Linsalata and his wife Adriana Linsalata have made Sonne Sissach a wonderful place. Be sure to stop by!

The club is growing fast - and yes, I had „visions“

The Sonne Sissach Cigar Club is growing very quickly. So fast, in fact, that during the course of the evening I suggested (in all seriousness, of course) that the club should simply build its own event centre - and then we'd look for a few more sponsors. (Haha. Joking. Right?)

Outlook 2026: Cigars.zone is coming back to Sissach

These cellar worlds will not just remain a club secret: a few Zigarren.Zone events will also take place in these rooms in 2026.

One event will take place within a club event, several others outside the club - with tickets available to the public.
