In 1795, the Royal Tobacco Factory of Cop\u00e1n was opened in Santa Rosa de los Llanos - today's Santa Rosa de Cop\u00e1n in Honduras.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"377\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_cigarro.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-77485\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_cigarro.jpg 377w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_cigarro-5x12.jpg 5w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 377px) 100vw, 377px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It goes back to a royal decree issued by the Spanish crown in 1765, which ordered the establishment of a tobacco manufactory, which from then on set prices, distributed seeds and regulated all tobacco production in the region. This laid the foundations for a tobacco tradition that was inherited from pre-Columbian cultures and is still alive today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"723\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_bodegon004_ret2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-77482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_bodegon004_ret2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_bodegon004_ret2-768x555.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_bodegon004_ret2-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_bodegon004_ret2-624x451.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In honour of the 230th anniversary of this historic factory, Flor de Cop\u00e1n is now presenting the exclusive Edici\u00f3n Limitada 1795. The cigars are made \u201ehecho a mano\u201c - by hand - and are characterised by their elegant format with a length of 157 mm and a ring gauge of 42.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Grupo de Maestros at the La Flor de Cop\u00e1n manufactory in Santa Rosa de Cop\u00e1n is responsible for the composition of the tobaccos. The tobacco leaves for this Edici\u00f3n come from Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"581\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_caja002_ret2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-77484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_caja002_ret2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_caja002_ret2-768x446.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_caja002_ret2-18x10.jpg 18w, https:\/\/www.zigarren.zone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/flor_de_copan_caja002_ret2-624x363.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The flavour profile of the cigars is characterised by roasted and woody aromas, accompanied by nuances of dried fruit and fine spice. Notes of roasted nuts, coffee, almond, cinnamon and pepper unfold over the course of around an hour of smoking - a complex flavour profile that reflects the centuries-old tobacco tradition of the Santa Rosa de Cop\u00e1n region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Flor de Cop\u00e1n 1795 Edici\u00f3n Limitada is released in an edition of only 5,200 boxes worldwide, 1,000 of which are reserved for the German market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Format\/dimensions: Reales (157 mm x 42 RM)<br>CIP \/ pc.: 9,00 \u20ac \/ pc.<br>Packaging: high-quality lacquered wooden box with 10 cigars<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I was allowed to taste a sample. I couldn't detect any cinnamon in the flavour profile.
