Exactly, it's a parejo. ...er... but... it looks like a parejo, but it has a little tip at the top. And now? It's still a parejo. \ud83d\ude05<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mythen-und-missverstandnisse-uber-formate\">Myths and misunderstandings about formats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201eA Lanceros is much less demanding to smoke than a Robusto.\u00bb <\/strong>That's not true - the Lanceros needs experience when smoking cigars. If they are smoked too quickly, they quickly become bitter and pungent. The thinner the format, the more patience is required when smoking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201eA torpedo is the same format as a pyramid.\u00bb<\/strong> That is not true. A pyramid is slightly wider at the base and tapers down to the head. A torpedo is the same width from head to foot. But both have a pointed head. What's more, these are not shapes, but vitolas. Do you remember last week? Both cigar shapes belong to the figurado format. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201eA belicoso is the same format as a torpedo.\u00bb<\/strong> This is also not true because they are not formats, but vitolas (both belong to the figurado format). But to answer the question: a Beliscoso is the same width from head to foot as a Torpedo, but the Belicoso has a narrow, rounded tip at the head. The Torpdeo cigar has a pointed cigar head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201eThe same blend of a cigar line tastes exactly the same with every cigar shape.<\/strong>\u201c No, the same blend tastes slightly different in every cigar shape. A Toro (thick, long) usually tastes a little \u00abrounder\u00bb or \u00absofter\u00bb than a Lanceros (thin and long) or a Short Corona (thin and short) of the same line. This has to do with the fact that the flavour is \u00abcompressed\u00bb, so to speak, in the narrower formats, resulting in different flavours, usually more intense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fazit\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Terms such as <strong>Robusto<\/strong>, <strong>Toro<\/strong> or <strong>Torpedo<\/strong>, etc. are not formats in the strict sense, but so-called <strong>Vitolas<\/strong>. A vitola defines the size and shape of a cigar and includes both the <strong>Length<\/strong> (in inches or millimetres) as well as the <strong>Ring size<\/strong> (diameter of the cigar). The choice of vitola has a significant influence on the smoking experience - from the smoking time to the development of the flavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term <strong>Vitola<\/strong> cannot be translated literally into German, as it is a specific technical term from the world of cigars. In German, vitola is therefore usually used unchanged. One could paraphrase the meaning as <strong>Shape and size of a cigar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This description of the vitola as the \u201eshape and size of a cigar\u201c best reflects the meaning without directly replacing the technical term. In the world of cigars, however, \u201evitola\u201c has become a common and precise term in the German language. <strong>not<\/strong> established. The word \u201eformat\u201c is mostly used in the German-speaking world, often also in French or Italian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In contrast to the German-speaking world, the English-speaking world uses the term <strong>Vitola<\/strong> while \u201eformat\u201c is not commonly used. In Italy one often speaks of <strong>Vitola de galera<\/strong>. And in Spanish one speaks of <strong>Medida<\/strong>, what <strong>Dimension<\/strong> means.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ausblick-auf-nachste-woche\">Outlook for next week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next week we will focus on the topic <strong>\u201eCigar storage: how do I store cigars properly?\u201c<\/strong>.
