Back then, I had the pleasure of tasting this cigar and was immediately impressed. But as is so often the case in the world of Cuban cigars, some treasures are hard to unearth: In 2024, the La Flor de Cano Petit Corona is either impossible or very difficult to find. Retronasally, a hint of forest floor unfolds, which reinforces the impression of a natural, unadulterated world of flavours. The tobacco only develops fully over the years, with the ideal resting time being between 2 and 8 years or more, depending on the cigar and format. So my advice: even if it's difficult, give your Cuban cigars the time they need in the humidor - the flavours will thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When storing individual specimens, it is best to store them in tubes or sealed in a bag with a small Boveda packet in the humidor. I had it on my radar in 2020 and the tasting delighted me. Although it needs around two years to mature, it was surprisingly flavourful even when young. The three specimens tested did have a slightly \u201eprickly\u201c flavour over time, but this is part of its character and is not a fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's just a shame that this cigar is now so hard to find.
