I tested the La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill. I tested three of them, as the first one was a total failure (see conclusion). The other two, however, gave me a lot of pleasure and enjoyment. The tobaccos come from Nicaragua. The cigar will be available in Switzerland from 07.03.2023. The importer is The Royal Cigar Company AG. Here is my test report. About the cigar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La Aroma del Caribe Pasi\u00f3n is produced by Jose \u201aPepin\u2018 Garcia and Jaime Garcia from the finest premium tobaccos. The premium tobaccos used come from the family's prized estates, which are located in the best growing regions of Nicaragua: Esteli, Jalapa and Namanji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pasi\u00f3n is wrapped in a glossy shade-grown wrapper leaf from the fields of Namanji. The tobacco plants thrive there in a unique microclimate, 18 miles east of Esteli, where the Garcias recognised the untapped potential of the region more than a decade ago. Warm days, cool nights and fertile black soils produce tobaccos of exceptional flavour, quality and aroma. Today, Shade Grown Wrapper is grown on more than a third of the 300-hectare private estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the wrapper leaves, binder leaves and filler tobaccos harvested for the Pasi\u00f3n undergo a careful triple fermentation using traditional methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General impression after lighting in the first 5 minutes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lighting and draw resistance: <\/strong>Both are optimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The burn, the strength and the flavour: <\/strong>Almost perfect burn, strength 3\/5, slightly more intense but pleasant flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impression during the smoke of the La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Aftertaste and aroma (scent of the smoke = room note)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First half: consistently positive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second half: consistently positive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flavour on the tongue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First half: slightly sweet, slightly peppery and slightly spicy, cocoa (bittersweet), coffee beans, wood, slightly acidic<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second half: Almost the same as the first half. A little more cocoa and wood and the pleasant sweetness is very present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Retronasal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First half: peppery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second half: a little more pepper<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First half: strongly peppery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second half: strongly peppery, some wood, some roasted flavours of coffee beans<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoyment and conclusion of the La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pleasure course: <\/strong>La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill remains linear in the first half, but is rich in flavour. In the second half, it gains some depth and the individual flavour nuances become more prominent. There is a slight upward trend throughout the entire smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pleasant sweetness is added in the second half. It lingers on the tongue and lips. A little more wood and cocoa are added. I really liked this development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> My first sample first had a wedge burn and then a crater burn so strong that the cigar smoked heavily and became very pungent. I didn't finish smoking it. The next two cigars did not have this problem. The cigars burned almost perfectly evenly; these two smokes gave me a lot of fun and pleasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like the anilla (that's the cigar ring). It is very richly decorated with lots of beautiful details. Both anillas are neatly printed and embossed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ash is about one centimetre long and falls off undiminished. As I said, the burn is almost perfect - and I really enjoyed it. The La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill is uncomplicated to puff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Towards the end, the last two specimens had a crooked burn. I had to correct this with the flame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, I like the La Aroma del Caribe Pasion Churchill. Especially because the sweetness with wood and cocoa is present in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cigar test is subjective. The flavour of a cigar is influenced by personal taste preferences, taste memories, the mood of the day, what you have eaten or drunk beforehand. Even the lighting in the room influences the flavour experience. The flavour nuances described here therefore do not necessarily correspond to your own impressions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
