The design of the line combines traditional Chinese patterns with Mayan hieroglyphics. Similar to the Chinese, the animal world of the ancient Maya plays an important role in their spiritual beliefs, symbolism and iconography. The Maya believe that we are all born with a \u201cNAHAUL\u201d or animal spirit to guide us through life. Each of Maya Selva Cigars' special editions is decorated with a design that combines traditional Chinese patterns and Mayan hieroglyphics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest limited edition celebrates \u00ab 18 Conejo \u00bbUaxaclajuun Ub'aah K'awiil), the 13th ruler of Copan. Due to the number of buildings and monuments erected during his reign, he is considered the greatest patron of the arts in the history of Copan. The sheer number of sculptures commissioned by \u00ab18 Conejo\u00bb is a remarkable achievement in the Classic Maya era. He reigned from 695 to 738.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new and special blend is a tribute to the tradition of handmade cigars. The tobacco for the A\u00d1O DEL CONEJO corona format cigar is hand-picked in the famous Jamastr\u00e1n valley in Honduras. This medium-bodied blend offers the aficionado very pleasant woody, earthy and nutty flavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
