Several formats for the anniversary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
To mark Cohiba's 55th anniversary, known as the \u201e55 Aniversario\u201c in Spanish, Habanos s.a. presented several new formats from the top Habanos brand. One of these is the COHIBA 55 ANIVERSARIO of the EDICI\u00d3N LIMITADA 2021. With an impressive ring gauge of 57, the 150 mm-long format now pampers Habanos lovers with complex and full-bodied flavours for a short time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The production name of the 55 Aniversario is \u201eVictoria\u201c, which means \u201evictory\u201c in German, and it was specially developed for this limited edition. Just like the legendary \u201eLancero\u201c format of the Cohiba L\u00ednea Cl\u00e1sica or the three formats of the super-premium Behike line, it has the characteristic pigtail on the mouthpiece. The Cohiba Talism\u00e1n, the extremely successful format of the Edici\u00f3n Limitada 2017, also had it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tobacco blend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The tobacco blend is characterised by a complex and aromatic blend but, as is usual for the Edici\u00f3n Limitada cigars, consists exclusively of tobaccos that have been aged for at least two years. With its majestic format, the Cohiba 55 Aniversario offers connoisseurs maximum cigar enjoyment for very special moments. It is sold in lacquered boxes of 10 cigars. For the first time, Habanos s.a. is also using a third ring at the foot of the cigar, which bears a special logo to mark Cohiba's 55th anniversary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is the Edici\u00f3n Limitada?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In 2000, Habanos S.A. launched three special cigar formats of well-known brands onto the market for the first time, which took the hearts of aficionados around the world by storm. Since then, cigar lovers have eagerly awaited the new formats year after year, each of which is only available in limited quantities. Certain formats that are not part of the brands' standard portfolio are always selected for the limited productions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are also characterised by their naturally fermented, dark wrapper leaves. This results from the use of tobacco leaves from the top of the plants. Only very special Habanos torcedores with extensive experience are selected to roll these limited edition cigars. For the production of the Edici\u00f3nes Limitadas, only tobaccos aged for at least two years are used for the filler, binder and wrapper, which come from the best Vegas Finas de Primera from the world-famous Vuelta Abajo region. These cigars are labelled as \u201eEdici\u00f3n Limitada\u201c by a second black and gold cigar ring with the year printed on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
