Many thanks to Urs Portmann Tabakwarten AG for the generous donation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"genuss\">Personal impressions of the pleasure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recommended acclimatisation: 3 days with cellophane in the humidor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First half<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tongue, palate:<\/strong> Slightly peppery (fades after a few minutes) \/ bittersweet \/ slightly sour \/ nutty \/ creamy<\/li><li><strong>Retronasal<\/strong>: Very much burning wood \/ slightly peppery<\/li><li><strong>R+ ZiZo vacuum technology:<\/strong> Coffee and earth<\/li><li><strong>Umami:<\/strong> juicy \/ meaty<\/li><li>Strength 3\/5<\/li><li>Note: I noticed the pronounced bitter flavour of the 1st sample. It lasted about 12 minutes and then disappeared. I didn't have this impression with the 2nd sample; I recognised the Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador with its typical flavour nuances of bittersweet and somehow \u201eroasted\u201c wood. This is not a fault of the cigar. The rare crooked burn corrected itself. The flame only had to help once.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Fazit\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Brun Del R\u00e9 Bicentenario looks great. With its three anillas, it looks mighty festive. A great sight. It is excellent when rolled and the draw resistance is optimal. The wrapper leaf from Ecuador was surprisingly more bitter than I am used to. At first I thought it came from another country. Only after a while, around the second half, did I recognise the typical taste: bittersweet and roasted wood. I love these wrapper leaves from Ecuador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\">I noticed the pronounced bitter flavour of the first sample. It lasted about 12 minutes and then evaporated. I didn't have this impression with the 2nd sample; I recognised the Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador with its typical flavour nuances of delicate bitterness and somehow \u201eroasted\u201c wood. This is not a fault of the cigar, but was due to the fact that the cigars had been travelling too long in the cold and dry season.  This can happen in the run-up to Christmas or during the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This clearly shows the importance of acclimatisation: if you leave this cigar in the humidor for just one day longer, it recovers quite quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The burn is very good and it smoulders for a long time. The ash is reasonably compact. It has gone off several times without warning me, the bitch. PATCH, on the trousers. A little later: PATCH on the laptop keyboard - after excellent, Vasilij, you complete idiot. A third time... noooo! This time I almost caught it and still: PAT on the floor. Stupid blogger. You can find the link to buy it below in the resources section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh yes, there's one more thing: the strength. It starts very carefully with a 2\/5, but the strength soon increases. Towards the finale, a good portion of 3\/5, maybe even a little more. Please be careful: although the cigar looks lovely, it is a little sea breeze, which has ruffled my ever-decreasing hair a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comb, plop in the gel, done.
